seeten1
last Sunday I was late for work and recided to ride the bike. After about 5 miles of speeds between 130 and 150 my FI light came on. I turned the ignition of and right back on while riding and it went off. In next long straight stretch i wound it up again to about 160 and held it there for about 3 miles and the FI light came on again. It has never come on before, but i have never ran it that hard. any ideas?? Steve
TechnoGecko
Disconnect and reconnect the OBC to reset it. You can also check to make sure that you have a solid connection to ground, sometimes a faulty ground will yield a FI light or a "glowing" FI light. Mine isn't FI'd so I'm not quite sure what more to say. I'm sure someone else will have some suggestions.
mickcbr1100
Try what Jason says as it could well be dirty/loose earth wire. If you can't cure it and it carries on doing it and as yours is a 99 bike have a look at http://www.bikersoracle.com/blackbird/foru...ead.php?t=16438 and check out the rogue connector. I keep meaning to post it on here so it's readily available but some of the pics are shit. I'm hardwiring another one for someone this weekend so I'll take some better ones and post it then.
