erixx
Hi all, just another R1 reg topic I found out that my second honda regulator is starting to show a melted plug (nearly 100.000 km done ), so time to change before it gets worse!! I read already all the onsite and elsewhere info, but haven't found any R1 regulator PART NUMBER (or Year) Yamaha dealer told me, they change over the years. Some question i found no answer for reading here: - Must the R1 regulator be for a Carb'ed R1? - Must it have a 6 pin (5 really) connector? - Do they come with instructions to match the cables? I would thank you very must if you could confirm this to me, as i need to buy the part tomorrow.... BTW, the Yammie part is 110 euro, the Honda 220 euro... they are joking! PD: I cut the honda regulator open, and W00W !! Theres nothing inside?? What the hell is the theory behind this device?

erixx
Job done! Result good! Hardest part: match cables as 2 are different coloured. (i also bought the Yamaha conector) and solder the cables 'professionally' . PArt number: 3LD-82521-00 (R1 2000-1)
