The Krypt Keeper
Center stand, and in the manual it states the use of a peice of wood under the exhaust pipe collector. (Not the oil pan)
Byrdman
(Not the oil pan) Seriously? That sounds wrong doesn't it?
Guest rockmeupto125
You can pick the whole damn bike up by the exhaust header. I'd put it on the centerstand with one of them little $30 floor jacks under the header with a piece of 2x4 on it. That way you can move the front end up and down to your leisure. Just be sure the front doesn't get too low, or block the centerstand so it can't fold up. If the floor is uneven, or tips one way or another, the bike could mover forward if the floor jack lost its pressure...and make flat on the ground.
Northman
I lift it by the oil pan, as it's more centered than the header is, and feels more stable. Just lift the bike high enough that the rear wheel touches the ground, and you have 4 points stabalizing. Either that, or remove the tank, and support the bike by it's frame from a rafter with tie downs.
Redbird
Bottle jack under the oilpan has been working for me for the last 3.5 years.
Red J
Shit in a bag of chips has gotta be a hoist. Since I have one for dropping motors out of MR2s, it works well for holding the CBR.
Skull
I have a pneumatic lift table with an LA Chock bolted onto it, and the table comes with a scissor jack to lift the bike above the table. Works pretty well.
