devilisht2003
can you just change the color of the lights (i.e. change the bulbs) or are the guages themselves green so u have to replace them totaly?
Northman
The bulbs are clear. You can get overlays for them from a few different companies, but some require you to sand the original finish off the gauges to allow the light to come through. A lot of work, but I really like mine Got them here: http://www.tankpads.com, but a quick check of their site doesn't show any gauge faces. You may need to email them. urloozn
I was in on the original buy for these. They are OK in the daylight, but terrible at night. For whatever reason, the needles don't light up after you install the faces. Its weird, because they light up fine without and you never have to remove anything, just cover up the old ones. Plus the fact that they are white and the needles are too makes it hard to read your speedo at all......... Not that any of US ever read it anyway................. Anyway, I gave them to baijjer9 so he can give you a second opinion when (and if: USPS) they get to him.
Northman
I painted my needles fluorescent orange, and have no trouble reading the gauges at night. Although I have full light through the gauges themselves, which contrasts the needles in the dark.
