MileHi Posted October 2, 2004 Share Posted October 2, 2004 Man what a bitch!!! I can now appreciate how tightly packed parts are on the 'Bird!!! The ballasts have the build in igniter and the short pig tails, so mounting them required that they be close to the headlight assembly. After many unsuccessful dry fitting in some possiblelocations I finally had to mount them to the ram air intakes kind of butted up to the headlight assembly. That 3M Dual Lock works wonders! It's tight and the ballasts are visible when you look down into the fairing, but they work great! Here's a couple of pics of the ballasts installed. I do need to break out the chalk and tape mesure and find a flar spot with a wll to properly adjust 'em... But dayum they're bright!!! For those running HID who used relays and who took the current right from the existing plug ? I used relay but maybe im paranoid.
