MileHi Posted September 1, 2004 Share Posted September 1, 2004 For those of you that have installed both lo and hi beams... How does the HID bulb do when you want to flash the hi beam? Or do you have to live with the fact that you can't flash the hi??? I'm thinking of getting on fo the H7 HID kits on Ebay... If I decide to just do the lo beam, would anyone be interested in the other half of the system? HERBXX Posted September 2, 2004 Share Posted September 2, 2004 I think hella/phillips ballast are surposed to be good, but since they have a built in ignighter they must be mounted very close to the bulb, i got lucky found one with an 18 inch lead from a audi,but the wire can out of the headlight socket at a bad angle an i had to modify it little or a lot mabe. I use the hella ballast for my highbeam and one from a nissan with remote igniter for my low. I mounted the low ballst under the seat after extending the wire to the igniter. Im alao using a d2r bulb in the low and d2s (both converted) . Ive only had it all in about a week but so far so good. Herb Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
