Squirtster
While riding to work today, came up on slow moving traffic, left it in 6th cruising at about 50-55. Suddenly the engine stumbled like I hit the kill switch for just an instant and my FI light came on. Idle was fine, so I shut it off, restarted it, and all seemed fine. It ran great while I was in-it, but as soon as I ran just off idle in a tall gear, it would skip, act weird, and FI light came back on. TPS? It's a 1999 with 20,000 on the clock. Any suggestions? I was wondering also if the TPS is servicable (take it apart and clean it). Thx all
demon
I think Titbird has to clean his TPS electrical connection every once in a while. Sounds like the same symptoms
Squirtster
Thanks demon, I'll give that a try tomorrow. It has been sitting for a couple weeks.
demon
I think he puts some dieletic grease in the connector to keep it from happening so often and help the connection. Might help.
