demon
Anybody know what the front rotor carrier on a 99 and up bird is made of? Aluminum or stainless steel? I was thinking about polishing them if they were aluminum or stainless. I don't really care for the gold color on them. If I can't polish them, I'm gonna paint them black. May take a while, but more Bling is more Bling
demon
I've seen them polished, not chromed, before. Just wondering if they are stainless. I don't want to clear coat them.
JasonW
The '97-'98 (black carriers) are painted stainless and the '99-up (gold carriers) are aluminum.
BIG BOY
The 99 on up are aluminum???? I didn't think so, because of all the stress. Hum........what am i doing now this weekend??????
JasonW
I'm 99.99% sure that they're aluminum (on '99-up). Aluminum is certainly capable of the task. Either way, they can be polished.
demon
Just what I wanted to hear. Aluminum is a lot easier to polish than stainless. I'm taking my front wheel off anyway to swap with purple passion. I know what I'll be doing in the meantime. Thanks Jason
