Motobeagle
Just curious how much chrome, or powdercoat adds to the overall unsprung weight of the bike. The RC components (spun aluminum) came in @ 9.2 for the front, and 15.5 (with a cush drive and sprocket) for the rear in chrome.
The Krypt Keeper
Chroming really doesn't add as much weight as you think. Chrome might just weight a few grams more than powder coating. I know the stock rims weigh a friggen ton. I have seriously looked at getting some aftermarket rims. But they aren't cheap. I would love to have some RC Daytona's or Talledaga's Maybe even some OZ racing wheels in pretty silver

koolaidkidxx
Stock front weighs about 12.0 to 12.5 pounds depending on how accurate my scale was at the time; rear weights 22.0 to 22.5 pounds and that's with cush drive but no sprockets or brake disk. xrdracer
So imagine if you take about 5 pounds off the front wheel and about 12 off the rear by getting some nice Marvics , Marchesinis, Dymags...
