  3. this is correct dynajet program charts show the bird is way rich from the factory down load the charts on the web and most are leaner than stock with aftermarket exhaust you really have to have a freeflowin pipe to need richer and almost all aftermarkets are notmuch better if more air equals more fuel
  4. what i know amsoil use to be amzoil until amway sued and lost over conflict but amzoil changed to amsoil to remove the confusion. not sure of the facts just a memory from the distributer here who got me my corporate account in 86. i also believe amsoil is the only true syn oil now. nasa developed it for the shuttle i think. also amway does sell an oil but not amsoil. you wont believe what i am running in the bird due to the extreem use and config but i run a 1 inch thick pan for clearance with baffels (see my picks) due to the massive g's i experience. i run 6 qts of 20/50 racing amsoil and 2 qts 80 wt gear oil. just to help with understanding i run a 1 qt canton accusump and the lines make up another 1/2 qt in a dry engine. yes the bank angle sensor is disabled. i only use the clutch for stop/start. change the filter often, test the oil, tore down the motor three times to check for damage this summer, two damaged due to spun bearings with mobil 1 before i changed to this setup,no damage after going to baffel and accusump and oil mix and clutch works without grabbing,and shifts great. not for normal use of course just info for extreem use. for those who dont know i ride in the sand hills very fast for long time and hot weather. typical ride last for over an hour in the 60 mile per hour average speed. lot of banks and jumps and long straights to 5th gear. no i am geared way down,,,,,,14/58 and 15/58 normal high perf quads just dont do it for me this one is close

  6. i dont know where you heard that but i have been using it for ten years and would not use any thing else in anything i have i drive 75000 miles a year and run the bypass oil filters and run 25000 per oil change.yes i know what you are going to say but i put 300000 per vehicle and have 4 full time company vehicles and have never had to add oil per oil change and never had a motor die. buy it direct and get a good price about 3.50 per qt . never heard amway but heard nasa developed it i will check their site will call them tomorrow no amway people ever tried to sell me it let me know where you heard that

  9. Cool, I finally got some body to reply to something I posted, and started something. Who would have thought it would have been this. The welder for plastic that I bought to fix all the broken plastic I have bought from people here to build the quad was a great investment. It payed for it self in the first use and I learned a great skill. Something I VALUE! Been reading post here for a year and have met some great people personaly. And I can take it as well as dish it out. Not looking for shit but looking for shit to learn if you know what I mean. And I know how to type, but hate to. Thought the garage was the place to post this kind of stuff. FYI and such and was cleaning out links to interesting sites I have found doing this project. More of a doer than a poster. Country boy not much on the whole edicut stuff. hahahaha Did'nt think about the reprocusions of the caps key cause it is either on or off. :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: O yea,,,,I will get the Quad xx on the road soon and when youse guys get some decent weather I'll come see ya. But till then its 75deg here and i put 200 miles on it this weekend in the sand hills. Out ran every body in the sand drags and then showed them how to fly.   14. yes ,about 1 inch thick from block and billitt,but i could not use it cause i needed the oil cooling lines that his required to be plugged. so i cut a damaged pan and made the whole bottom flat and cut the pickup and the relief valve. the problem was the stock relief valve was to low psi and after the first damaged motor elton thought it was the problem. he was real nice to have helped me do what i was doing. was refered by kent stotz, it is what he uses. main difference is i dont have gravity working to keep the oil in the pan with a quad layout. lateral g's not vertical. stan
  15. i had to run a oil guage because the light is only about 5 psi to turn off damaged two cranks and rods because of oil sloshing away from pickup when i turn and stop with the short pan like the efr racing pan. he had me run his relief valve and tighter bearing clearances than stock and 100 psi and still killed one. had to build a baffel to dampen the slosh and install a canton oil accumlator on the third rebuild and have not had any trouble. elton says that number three rod can starve if you do wheelies or stoppies????? been doing any showing off???? also run 20 50 oil real was not any vibration...... ,,,,,,but was when i had dirty injectors and a knock too?????
  16. just an idea i had was the adjustment on the counterbalencers section in the manual sounds like this,could try the running adjustments and see if it cures the knock and vibraton. maybe yes mabe no just a thought stan :???:
  17. as long as it has a lifetime guarantee i tried to tell durablue,,,,,but they just wouldnt listen they were not familiar with what a blackbird was and didnt know it was a quad
  18. was not the sproket was the hub the sproket bolts to is splined to the axle and pressed on when heated & has a steel insert never seen that shear guanteed for life ,their gona s*&^ hahahahahahahaha i love it when i find a weak link you have to go so fast to get there
  19. sorry been out riding and yes it is a set of open 2 to 1 headers stock motor so far other than the falicon crank and rods. and the noise is not a problem in the sand hills around here. i loaded the program for the euro model with open cans and db killers and i seams to have kept cool enough to not kick the fan on after a 20 min of riding with a few hard passes around. joe this thing is a smash!!!!!! the best handling thing i have ever drove. just flies ,,,literally and looks like nothing ever seen before. put a 58 rear and 15 front sprokets and can get to third toped out but stripped the hub on the axle,,,alum. hub on steel axle durablue x-33 about as strong as is made. the aap chart is the one i would like to know what it is adjusting thanks o by the way it is a cbr 1100 xxxx hahaha quad joe help me out and post a picture or the video

    pc2 help

    need help with pc2 charts,,,,,have not been able to find anybody who knows what the charts descriptions stand for and what they change downloaded all the different charts for the 2000 xx and printed them out so i have some idea what changes are for what mods but need more info if anybody could steer me better. bought it with the most rich program they had but still gets hot after opening headers. thanks stan
