  1. That's what I've been doing...... Cheers,
  2. Wait a bit and you'll be able to pick up either '05 BMW K1200S or the '05 GSXR1000 mirrors.... both with t.signalls built in !  Cheers,
  3. The difference may be as simple as the color of the cariers.... Cheers,
  4. The part numbers for the brake discs on XX and 954 are different. But the 929 and 954 look to be the same. CHeers,
  5. Tom, here are the 929 and 954 fiches..... http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/getyear.cfm?...ho&groupid=5010 Cheers,
  6. He can't see next to him, not behind ! The extenders are great, but I think he needs the convex inserts..... Cheers,
  7. You did that by yourself ?!   Cheers,
  8. The bike takes the YTX-12BS (Yuasa) or an equevalent. At NEXXT, Joe and I bought a battery for Chad, at the Auto Zone. We scored a deal too ! It was not Yuasa, but everything else was the same. Almast all maintanance free batteries come with the accid pack. Except for the GTR batteries sold under HONDA brand name. Those are ready to charge ! They all have the same instructions, which some people follow and some don't  I was tought to peal the seal, insert the accid pack, let it all flow in. Then let it "breath" - or let the air out of the battery....That should take about 30-45 min.... The proces sounds like boiling water. When you are sure the air boubles are out, you seall the battery and place it on charger. Slow, 1 - 2 amp charge apparently works better than faster and higher amp. Don't mix the leads when you plug the battery and enjoy ! At least that's how I'd do it ! Cheers,
  9. Well, there you go. Problem solved ! I'm sorry to hear that ! Fix it - DO IT !!! Cheers,
  10. X-lax, I think those are just slip-ons...... The prices are most likelly in Euros, and it would come out to be $868.446 for the high mounts..... I think. Hugo ? Cheers,
  11. This company has them ! http://www.rsproduct.com/accueil.php When you click on the "Catalogue" you can find the application and I think the price..... And in Gallery they have a shot of the ZZR1200 which probably is close to the XX..... It's in France though (and in French !)....... Cheers,
  12. I just replaced all my pads. The front wheel was dragging for few miles, the rear was fine. About 50 miles after it was much better..... I always leave the metal shims and never had a problem. Your mechanic wipped off the pistons before he pushed them in, right ? Cheers,
  13. Cool ! Let us know the results.... Maybe I'll buy one too... Part Number: 52400-MCJ-831 Description: CUSHION ASSY., RR. Price: $602.59 Part Number: 52400-MCJ-751 Description: CUSHION ASSY., RR. Price: $609.86 Part Number: 52400-MCJ-003 Description: CUSHION ASSY., RR. Price: $735.44  All three for the 954...not sure what the difference is. http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/200_0384/rea...r_cushion_1.cfm Cheers,
  14. Here is the shock.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...2489520669&rd=1 Cheers,
  15. 4 quart is to much ! That may be your problem. Also if you change your oil "cold" there is a chance that not all of the old one flows out..... :???: Cheers,
  16. Uhhh, YELLOW spring - Todd would love that ! Did anyone nottice the yellow phone and the yellow suicide shifter ? That was great Bill ! Back on subject..... here is the shock.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...2489520669&rd=1 Cheers,
  17. Check www.servicehonda.com but get the part numbers from ron ayers....... Cheers,
  18. Yes. I have the '01 bodywork on the '99 XX....  Cheers,
  19. We know how often you use THE tool..... You have more than one ? And you keep it in the pouch ?! Isn't it uncomfortable ???? Tim, I'd blame Mrs. Redneck Roofwalker for this one !  I would be happy to show you how the latch looks - in person  Cheers,
  20. I sent an e-mail to Sylvania, about my blown up bulb, a week or so ago and as of today - no replies.... Maybe they have to many bulbs blowing up..... Cheers,
  21. Jeff, other than prices, I'm very satisfied with the service at Des Plaines Honda... If I were you I'd go back, mention the loose air box and tell them about the problems.....They better waranty $350 of labor ! You have a PM as well... Cheers,
  22. Since I'm going to NEXXT, between bikes with MUCH louder exhausts, I might remove the litle baffles from the tips of my slip-ons.... Or not... Cheers,
  23. What Joe said... Enough that you nottice but not enough to be annoying. I haven't ridden as many bikes as some editors, but one thing that appears in most XX evaluations (and I agree !), is that it's one of the smoothest engines out there... I think the GL1500/1800 is smoother. I mean, they complain that the ZZR and FJR are buzzy ! I definatell wouldn't call the XX engine "buzzy", but you can feel it a bit that it's working... Few things can affect the bikes "vibrations", as far as my unedjucated (mechanicaly !) experience tells me .... - bad adjustment of the carbs and fuel injectors - I think these can be ballanced as well...someone correct me if I'm wrong ! - adjustment of the counterballancers, - misalignment of the engine, wrong torque of the engine mount bolts..... - the tension and alignment of the chain... - something is fucked up inside the engine ! You could also feel "vibrations" from the chasis, not connected to the engine - bad tires, alignment, bearings, warped brake discs.... To many posibilities. Can you determine if the problem is just the engine ? Put the bike on the centerstand, fire it up and rev it. Do you feel the wibes ? Maybe try to put it in gear and CAREFULLY !!! rev it to see if that's any different...now you'd add the chain into consideration. Then go for a ride and see if it's any different.... Unless you know some good independent mechanic, I'd take it to another dealership for a second opinion.... The service guy where I go, hates when I come and say I heard "something" through the Internet... But on the other hand, he'd not put the new chain with the old sprockets, especially knowing that the chain wore out that fast. I have a new chain to be installed and the mechanic that's going to help me, asked me to buy a new front sprocket, rather then put one that was given to me, with about 5-6K on it. Not that it wouldn't work, but he want's me to keep the new chain longer. And he wasn't trying to sell me the sprocket ! Good luck !
  24. Whaaaat ? I'm not a mechanic nor service mgr...... But I thought the stock chain was a very good chain ! And you have only 5K on the bike ?! If it is the chain in fault, that my guess would be it was set up wrong, or you adjusted/maintained it wrong...... My current chain is shot now, but I think I have about 30K on it maybe even more.... For the longest time it didn't need an adjustment, then it started to show slack and then I notticed that it has tight and stretched spots... But, even being in a bad shape, it doesn't create bad vibrations ! I can hear it, I feel surges but it "feels" better under load and at higher speeds and higher RPM's.... When I pull the cluch, I feel the "kinks" of the chain..... You'd definatelly feel the overtight chain on the trip... But maybe I'm wrong.... And this is definatelly NOT GOOD ! Cheers,
  25. What are you - PoloXX ?!  :poke: Cheers,
