  1. The stock one works good for me. I repplaced the battery on my '99 before the NEXXT last year, just because.... The bike had like 46K and the battery was 5 years old.... But it still holds the charge (I have it on the Battery Tender once in a while.....) I'm not sure, but the battery from my '97 may still be in use . You'd have to ask tomek.... I'd stick to the OEM, make sure it's set up properly and check your charging system. Cheers,
  2. I think that's true to '99 and on XX.... It's a simple job anyway. If you don't have the manual, DON'T LOOK HERE.... http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1246 Cheers,
  3. If you have the brake/clutch lines like that, sure - why not ! Otherwise, I'd stick to the black ones....... This would be another co. I know of..... http://www.motionpro.com/ Cheers,
  4. BARNETT ( http://www.barnettclutches.com/ ) can make you any length cable you need, among other things  Cheers,
  5. My '99 would constantly get 31 - 33 MPG, which was disapointing considering HONDA salles pitch stating better fuell mileage on the FI model v. the carburated one - my '97 would get about 35 MPG.... Then I hit the 31K and had a service done on it (apparently the valves were in specs... ).....Ever since then I'm getting 40MPG and sometimes even more  And that's with the GIVI bags, that suppose to "drag" and "lower" the fuell economy....   BTW, Chicago and Midwest have gas with more oxygen than most of the country. I usually get better mileage when touring.... Cheers,
  6. Tim, do you still have the washers even with the Ohlin's ?! I thought maybe the new shock has the hight adjustment and you've dropped the washers, no ?!... Cheers,
  7. Even when you put your feet down ?! (Fred Flinstone style , babe.....Yeah !) Cheers,
  8. Found this picture, showing the difference between stock H7 and Phillips Vision Plus bulb...... Guess which one is which ?! Cheers,
  9. Would this help ?! http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forum/viewtopic.p...hlight=tank+bra Cheers,
  10. Yeah, I've heard they don't last long.... the cheaper "cool blue" or something like that, also from Sylvania, were recommended as a better choice.... BTW, this company seems to carry the " Vision Plus" from Phillips, here in the US now... http://www.ambulbs.com/products/category.p...?offset=48&CA=1 I think these were voted to be the best..... Cheers,
  11. Corbin people lied again..... Sorry man.... Hey, the E52 is 23"- 17"- 11.5"....... If it was the perfect rectangle, there should be about 25" from one corner to another, across.... :???: I suck in math, but that's what I come up with meassuring on my desk.... I have the E50, which is smaller, and it's 22" from wall to wall and it's 23" across. You could call GIVI (877-679-4484) tomorrow , between 9 and 5:30 EST and they could meassure it for you. Or maybe someone here could do that..anyone with the E52 ?! You could just buy the Monorack and one case and carry it on top, like this.... http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/peteski3@...8&.dnm=4fa2.jpg http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/peteski3@...b0b.jpg&.src=ph Otherwise, Timbuk2 bag or a backpack ( http://www.ebags.com/search/index.cfm?ICat...uponid=57983602 )..... I think, the E52 is the largest, hard bag on the market in the US..... Cheers,
  12. Uhm... 24" ?! That's a long piece. The largest GIVI case, the E52 is 23" long..... No way that the Corbin bag has the 24" in any dirrection..... And even if it does, the opening is smaller........ good luck ! Cheers,
  13. And that surprisses you ?!  Be glad we don't have the offer of the European market ! They have way larger selection..... Check www.twistedthrottle.com for other hard bag options..... And remember, GIVI is here in the US, they have great sellection and decent prices, and ...I'M A BIG FAN !!! Tell us more, what do you expect from the bags.... Cheers,
  14. Pilot Road and GIVI for me..... Cheers,
  15. I won't recommend the Throttlemeister then..... The ultimate for function and Bling-bling.... N.E.P or Vista cruise for about $18 - $20....but needs creativity to properly install. The Throtlerocker types (about $9 - $11), wrist rests are nice and help your hand a bit, but don't stop the throttle - NOT A CRUISE CONTROLLER ! Actually the ultimate is the electronic cruise controll, but that's way over $50.....  Cheers,
  16. "...You take the left bar out, you put the left bar on, you take the right bar out , you put the right bar on...You screw the bolts around, that what it's all about..."  Cheers,
  17. Cool ! And great pictures..... Thanks Ruhi  Cheers,
  18. Another brake pad manufacturer.... Cheers,
  19. My 37 y.o hands fit quite okay....Joe witnessed as I changed bulbs at the MegaXX, when we waited for the group - who never showed up ! You did turn the wheel right ?!  .... I don't have a personal experience with Silverstars....I wrote what I've heard. :???: I've also heard that the PIAA bulbs suck ! Cheers,
  20. Improve it ?! Maybe if you painted the bike C.Red..... Cheers, No really, it looks good.....
  21. As far as I know, you can't expand the built in memory.... Cheers,
  22. I bought bulbs in the Auto Zone... Sylvania "True Blue" , I think....dark blue package. They are 55W and have NO TINT on the glass ! $15 a piece. They have another bulb, more money, seethrough/white package and I think I heard they were crap ! I think those were called "Silverstar"... Go here http://www.sylvaniaautocatalog.com/sylvani...halogenhead.asp Click on this " T-3 1/4" - H7 bulbs are there... Cheers,
  23. The H4 is a duall fillament bulb.... Which unless you'd rewire, would be usless. I think the holes in the headlamp are smaller than the H4 anyway.... Apparently the best bulbs are the Phillips "Vission +", not available in the US. You can get them here though... http://www.autolamps-online.com/products/h...vpluscentre.htm Cheers,
  24. I'm surprissed the bike runs at all..... Cheers,
