Funny ....I had a 85 Zx600R - A, before I got the Bird. Its still parked out back of my ex-house collecting rust, I think I blew the head gasket on it....Parts are the same if you need anything let me know before i junk it :cool:

I used a black zip tie thru the two holes works great :cool:

I put mine in last weekend it was a plug and pray install. sorry no pics ....But I love em :grin: :cool:

I went to the autoparts store and got some autobody shims ....Just loosen the shock and slip em in and tighten it up again :cool:

Danm.... those slip-on I installed have put me over, guess i better look for something stronger .... maybe springs from a Busa :cool:

Backfire on decel ... dont know the jet size ...just bought the recomended kit and had it install at a local shop.... no dyno , seat of the pants ...was thinking of taking it to be dynoed soon though ... trying to find a place I can trust to do the work right. I think its rich cause the pipes are black ... fuel economy sucks and my cousin who rides with me say he can smell my exhaust .... when riding behind me ....(go ahead I left that door open) :cool:

the bike is a 97 with dynojet stage 1 kit , K&N filter Two bros slip-ons it has been popping back thru the carbs and is also running rich ...is this common with the jet kit? this didnt happen before I had it jetted Any of you carbed pilots got any input?? :cool:

In my experience K&N without rejet = runs like crap I also have a 97 ..try putting the stock filter back and see what happens :cool:

how did you determine your speedometer error % Pace? seems to be a good solution ...especially since I am about to go 1 tooth down in front might have to check it out :cool:

To tell the truth I think that without going to at least slip-ons that you should stay with the stock filter .... I have a 97 also ... when my bike was stock I put a K&N filter in and it ran like crap .... after I installed slip-ons and jet kit I tried it again and it was fine...I did not try it with just a jet kit and no exhaust though just my .02 :cool:

I just put a Hyper-Pro progressive rate spring on my 900RR shock ..I installed it last week ...got to ride it yesterday a little ...feels good ....I am 260lbs ..I am gonna fiddle with the settings on the shock to see if I can make it better (or worse) :roll: ....anyone have any idea on what base settings I should start with Oh BTW the spring was like $109 + shipping, i think :cool:

OK I know there has been a lot of talk about this over a long period of time and I know Swampnut has been busy lately ....But as of today how many people are interested in trying to get a group buy for springs for thr RR shock I know I need one and am just trying to get an idea of who else is still interested no polls on this one ....but of course D: still = Hookers :cool:

Did you install the spring yet?? does it lower the rear of the bike ?? Vs the stock shock/spring? the price is right I just dont want to have to shim the spring a half inch

I put on Two Bros carbon slipons just befor the NEXXT nice deep basso rumble at idle and a liveable exhaust note at speed I think that satintunes run in that price range if I remember correctly and unless you are Nik, Leave the D&D's alone ... you'll have all your neighbors in an uproar if you come home late or leave early in the morning :cool:
