  1. If you do pickup a PC3 look in the Map thread there might be a map that will work for ya.
  2. You shouldn't need a PC or K&N. Adding both and turning it would give you more HP. Friend has a Hindle pipe on his ZX12r he is on his 3rd pipe. He wanted a red pipe but the red kept fading to pink. The warranty was great they swapped them quickly and without question. After returning 2 red ones he got a alum one instead of red.
  3. Got pics? Where are you at? It will give a idea of shipping. I'm interested BTW but if your over seas shipping could be krazy
  4. 9 times out of 10 if you made a change and something is happening that didn't before it is the changes fault. I'd pull the pannels you had off the bike to change the RR and inspect the wires. Wouldn't hurt to test the RR while you are in there as it may have been faulty from the start.
  5. If you do a search you should find some people that were asking questions about the sensor and how to test it. But I don't ever remember anyone saying there sensor was bad. So no it's not something that normally goes.
  6. If you have HID lights there you could likely tap into the headlight. If no HID I don't know any place up front that would have spare capacity.
  7. I was at a show and shine in town here lastnight and one of the guys had installed a Voltage Stablizer in his car, apparently it helps to keep a constant voltage output from the battery/alternator. Instead of power flucturating between 13.5-15V is helps to keep it at a constanct voltage. He claimed to get 30Km more per tank of fuel and he thinks he got a slight power increase at lower RPMs. When I first talked to him I figured he was full of crap but it does make some since when I think about it. Since the sensors in the car don't have fancy power supplies on them the voltage change on the input would change the voltage the computer was reading on the output. That MAY help make the computer more accuate. May also help with HID flickering issues. Seems to be lots of different ones for sale but if your headlights flickering is bothering you it might be something to solve the issue. I'd say that it IF is does work, it would likely help more on a bike then a car as the amount of power the bike can make is MUCH lower.
  8. I put 1/2 of a can in my bike full tank of fuel.
  9. What the hell kind of wire is it if it can't be soldered? I've soldered pretty much very kind of wire known to man, the thicker the wire the more heat needed. Thick wire I use a mini torch to solder as the iron just don't make the heat required. I've even used a propane torch to solder big wire 1-2 Gauge wire. Always use Resin core 60/40 on the wires or you'll need to use flux to make real good solder joints.
  10. Not sure what you are looking for as a easy way. You have to pull the tank and airbox to get to the plugs if I remember right.
  11. For that price it would be almost worth it to keep for spares.. wish I had the $$ right now.
  12. Wow you got bad luck. I use my centre stand all the time when I am fully loaded(3 Givi with at least 100lbs between them). I think your issue maybe trying to use the stand to lift the bike. I just put the stand down with my foot and pull the bike onto the stand.
  13. :icon_needpics: Lets see this custom regulator. I want to upgrade the one on my bike as I've got a fair amount of electronics running.
  14. I'm not a expert but I did help build a few houses years ago. Any time we cut holes they were sealed so air couldn't get in. I was told the whole point of the vapor barrier was to keep air from moving from outside to inside and vice versa. Any hole that allowed air to flow in or out was sealed even around electrical outlets/cable wires etc. Maybe the guy I was working with was anal retentive on it but he insisted that every hole be HAD sealed.
  15. I'm on my second set of Avons, the first being the Azaro's and now their replacement the Storms. Have about 6k on the Storms, and they look to have about another 1500 miles left before the rear will need replacement. I always replace in pairs so the front will get trashed also. I like the Avons for great grip and decent wear rate. My Busa has a set of Michelin Pilot sport HPX's, and I can't wait to get a set of Storms spooned on it when I get the HPX's wore a little more. Never slid around more, than I have with the HPX's. I've had great luck with the Avon's I had the Azaro's and got at least 12-15,000Km's out of them but that was mostly highway. I've got a set of storms on the bike now with 10,000Km on them and got a nail in the rear tire but it seems to still have close to 1/2 thread left. Going to replace it.
  16. +1 along with checking for any tight spots. If you drove throw alot of water it may just need a good oiling.
  17. You need a new woman. They can be got cheaper than you are selling the bike for....
  18. Are your pegs scraping or the feelers attached to the pegs? I took the feelers off when I put the lowering brackets on. Peg is about the same height now as the feelers were before.
  19. Contact who every you bought it from and see about returning it. Likely it's a small issue but could cause you lots of headaches. Your time has to be worth something and you could easily spend hours troubleshooting, not to mention you could fry something.
  20. Chances are it's the CA.. Did you change anything else at all besides th CA between tests?
  21. Can't see why it wouldn't work. But I'd think it would be quite a bit less efficent then the normal setup. That being said I can't see it mattering much on a DD. I'd be interesting in trying something like it...
  22. When does the fuse blow? as soon as you turn on the key? when you hit the brake? signal light? You likely created a short by wiring a 12V to ground, or have a wire with broken/cracked coating touching the frame(ground). By what is causing the fuse to blow you should be able to figure out what wires could be the issue. Use a mulit meter to find the one touching around.
  23. If your tank is close to empty and you have something to rest it on (to stop you from scraching the paint on the metal) You can flip the tank backwards to access the filter. It's best to have someone to hold it for you since you don't want it to fall.
