  1. Someday when I get my finances back in order, I really want to take a few laps around Barber myself. $40.00 is a good deal since they originally sold for $40.00 plus shipping. That was many years ago when aluminum was a lot cheaper and this pair you now have will never be produced again in aluminum. I am still trying to get them made from UHMW but have had no luck for any reasonable cost. They will sell almost instantly at $40.00
  2. :-) I would have to sell a whole bunch of EARS to be able to afford that beautiful Motard ! You can bet that I gave it a very thorough look and bought a lotto ticket to make it happen! :-) I hope to have my crashed SV650 back on the road this weekend.
  3. You are correct Vern except that he just WANTED some information! Should be moved to the Garage.
  4. Thanks John. I think the ones on my bird are some sort of UHMD plastic. That would be either UHMW if they where bought from me or the Euro ones where made out of Delrin They were all created (designed) by Zentime in response to Todd's crash as a fund raiser way back in the day!
  5. Those are the original aluminum mirror extenders that were made by Bill (Zentime) that sold hundreds of sets. Bill actually designed and manufactured them for a few years until the demand lost its flavor. They originally came in two powder coated options; satin to match the rubber boot and gloss black to match the 97-99 paint
  6. I would highly recommend sending Tim, Redbird, a PM for his take on the potential project.

  11. Just spoke with Ryan and he said some asshole flagged it and now he has to relist it later tonight. He doesn't know why it was flagged? I will update the link with the new ad when he gets it live again.

  13. Helping out a friend and listing this here for him. Those that attended RacerXX saw it there. Brad, 111lbRC51rider was the previous owner. Great low mileage RC for those who appreciate the Honda fit-n-finish in a nice V-twin package. Bad-Azz Sato dual exhaust. Ryan wants to finish the new 350 Café racer project he is working on. SOLD
  14. They can be ordered new from Honda color matched for about $25.00 COVER, L. *NH463M* (DARKNESS BLACK METALLIC) 88125-MAT-000ZN $23.11 2003 model
  15. I will be going back to the PR III when my current "Angels" wear out. The PR III are my favorite after going through 3 sets. High mileage and great stickiness.
  16. I have had this problem for a couple years. Very slight pulse feel when front brakes applied. had my local shop check the rotors for warpage, if that is a word, and they came up true and straight. Pulled the front wheel and cleaned the bobbins as best I could without taking the rotors apart and briefly fixed the pulsation. Slowly it returns over time. I paid a pretty penny for custom color anodized stealth brand wave rotors from Germany that are floating. I just now finished the cleaning as by the video and loving the brakes again and no more pulsation I picked up a 1/4-20 flange bolt and flange nut at Home depot and a can of brake cleaner from the auto parts store to get the job done.
  17. taken from the .com site that I was looking at today. I have this problem with my fancy stealth wave rotors that gives the feeling of a warped rotor. Rotors are straight and true but pulse when front brake applied. Here is a quick easy solution that I will be doing tomorrow morning myself.
  18. I had similar happenings to my 2001 Bird while attending NeXXt in Pennsylvania. Unplugged the PC and all was well all the way back to Florida Replaced the PC for permanent fix. The PC is an easy thing to disconnect (bypass), try that to see if the problem disappears, otherwise it should be a low voltage issue as stated (weak battery)
  19. Someone way smarter than I will chime in shortly I am sure but until then why are you thinking the regulator or stator are bad if there is no problem when the lights are unplugged? If the problem only occurs with the lights are plugged in then I would figure the problem is somewhere with the wiring of the lights. Are we talking about auxiliary lights on the Bird? By the way an analog meter is just fine for said troubleshooting.
  20. huge congrats There are very few that have the willpower and desire to accomplish such a feat. Forget the horsepower, you adding years of enjoyment to your lifespan.
  21. And you would order them from Jaws....why? You can pick them out my hand at RacerXX and no tax or shipping costs!
  22. I use www.HDLParts.com They show OEM list and their price You can always deal with our resident Honda GM, Scott.
  23. Maybe more, if you're still using the stock rear shock. I only wish a mechanical device would make me faster! My lap times are not determined by the HP, shocks, damper or anything mechanical at this point! It is all about the lack of skills for this old geezer. I just want to show how cool I am by having an "Ohlins" damper of my SV track bike! I can always lie about my times!
  24. I can bolt it right up on my SV650 with a GSXR750 front end! Might shave a couple seconds off my RacerXX lap times. $75.00
