  1. That was on the 03 frames in the US... I repaired an 03 with the same bolt on pieces. Hank
  2. You're a peach, Joey. I just heard back from one of the several dozen wrecking yards I emailed - there is now an '03 ECM headed up from Pittsburgh, so no ride for you. Thanks anyway. Did you get the connectors you needed at the same time?
  3. PM Sent with small parts list for 97. PM returned...Hank
  4. I've heard good things about Partzilla but haven't tried them. If used parts are of any interest, PM me with a list...Hank
  5. The "stop rings" are merely very thin wire rings that sit in a groove and have a split or space in them. Slide the bar down to expose them, find the split and lift them out. Very low pressure and no tools are needed to remove them, or at most a very small screw driver.
  6. The Ron Ayers link you supplied was for a 99 but I saw you had a 97...that's why I asked. Partsguy (Al) cut a connector off a spare harness he had for me, perhaps luckily, not that one. Not sure if he posts here but I know he's on the "Premier" board. Try getting in touch with him and see if he still has it... Hank
  7. Are you referring to the red connector with 4 wires in the area of the starter relay? Same bike in your info, a 97?
  8. Sorry, they 're gone already... I have some mirrors not complete assembly but part. I also have other BB parts also. Pm me if anyone needs anything. Sorry for the hijack Hank... Not a problem as long as it's a 50-50 split... Shipping on Tuesday...Thanks!
  9. Plainfield New Joisey... Auction ended by seller...
  10. Why not run dual brake lines from the master cylinder to the calipers, eliminating all that other junk? I used Spiegler's and they make them to any length. The banjo fittings are designed to rotate and they're available in colors as well as different angles. Just a thought.
  11. If the socket is loose, the magnet should work fine... If the internal rubber in the socket is holding on the plug, try needle nosed pliers.
  12. I really want a weekend in Newport...
  13. So is the #3 Tommy Stinkfinger jacket insulated like a winter jacket?
  14. Has the bike ever been dynoed and if so, could you post a chart?
  15. Whaddya say Jen...Road trip next time you're up this way? The 3 of us would represent .org quite well.....in an old NeXXt sort of way...lol and a Merry Christmas to you too and to the rest of my .org friends... oh, and a bump for the bike for sale... Hank
  16. If I remember correctly, Aquidneck Lobster Co. was on Barristers Wharf, just past the Black Pearl and the Clark Cook House. Bartender with the nickname of 5 O worked at CCH for many years...a great guy. The upstairs was called the Candy Store and the Moorings was right behind the Pearl and the CH. Man, I miss that place...Thursday nites, huh... Where do you live, town wise? I have friends scattered all over the island, up to and including Common Fence Point.
  17. Listen sonny ( ), the first time I went to Newport, I missed the 11:00 PM ferry and had to drive up to Providence and back down to Newport. I was in an inflatable when they hoisted the Australian boat up for everyone to see the keel after winning the America's cup and I was staying at Dock 1, Slip 1 on a sailboat at the Treadway. We had the managers card and phone number from the Chart House next door in case we got thirsty after hours. Unfortunately, I can't remember much else of the 40+ years I've been going there......except (John Cafferty and) the Beaver Brown Band playing on First Beach. It's starting to come back to me now...lol Love that town but I haven't been up there lately...might have to change that and take you up on your offer... Congrats on the promotion, btw. Ditto. I'm there like every week in the summer. First the Keys and now Newport... What am I, like your advance scout or something? Merry Christmas Jen...Hope all is well.
  18. Guys, go here for a complete parts listing...http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=76780 Some parts from this bike, some from others and past projects... PM me for quicker response... Hank.
  19. "No"...there I said it for ya...cause you were reading my mind... Where's that firehouse located? Yeah, I know ...Newport, but where? Love that town....many happy, blurry memories... Hank
