I carry wet paper towels or rag in a zip-lok bag for wiping off my visor when it gets covered with bugs. A dry microfiber rag for drying. I also carry an air gauge. And the charger for my cell phone. I have not put all the miles some of you have on the XX, but other than losing a fairing bolt ( I had the side panel off when I changed the oil and evidently didn't tighten one of the bolts ) I've never had an issue, not so much as a burn't out bulb. Oh, wait!!! Once, while heading to MIXXT the band that holds the tool kit down broke.

The link I provided was for the HT Air 2.0 overpant. I forgot to type in "Air". Thta is what I have and I have worn them in 50 to 80+ degree weather as well as rain and like I said, they work great!

That bike looks familiar. (My Illinois bike) Carbon fiber on a black bike looks good too. (My Alaska bike) As for sound, the 2-Bros sounds nice and deep. The Yoshimuras are much quieter

How much overweight are you? I chew gum I drink lots of regular water I'm in the gym 5 nites a week I do a spin class twice a week I don't eat after 7:00 pm and that is normally just a sandwhich and a protein drink.

I haven't chimed in a long time. My max weight was 201. I am at 194. I still need to lose about 4-6 lbs in my opinion. I haven't been real consistent until the last three months. My chest and arms have thickened up as well as my legs. Its amazing over the months how much strength you pick up. When I first started up again consistently I could only do abot 110 lbs on leg extensions. I'm up to 195 lbs now. Maybe its my age, but its a bitch to lose that weight right around the waist.

I bought one at the Harley dealer. It came with a "pig-tail adapter that can be permanently installed on the bike and then if you need to charge it, it can be accessible without pulling the seat and you just plug the mating plug from the charger into it. Great set-up!!! I bought it for the Honda F3 because I have to pull the whole tail section to get to the battery. But it works well for any bike. You could check and find out who makes them and probably buy them a lot cheaper than at Harley. I'll check mine tonite.

Do you guys change your oil before winterizing the bike or in the spring when you start riding again? I've been changing it in the spring but was wondering if that's the best policy.

My left one is always rotating too. Strange.

I have the 2-Bros carbon fiber C-5's on my 97. They contrast well with the black bike. They have a nice deep throaty sound. I think its the best sound I've heard from an aftermarket can on the XX.

Here are some pics of my undertail install. The tie-wrap at the rear (near the shock) raised the undertail up and provided clearance for the hugger. Tie-wrap as seen from below. As seen from above:

i have a mototeck undertail plus a pyramid hugger and have no problem. Are you sure your undertail is installed properly?
