to accelerate like the new liter bikes especialy K6-7 suk, you need like almost 180. My zx12r is a beast and accelerates even with a K6 with -1 on the front.

The midrange of that bike must be fenomenal, and rool ons with your bike, if geared to redline to 180 mph, must be interesting.

If someone told you another place you send him to hell, Cabarete is the place to go..... wild on came to Cabarete.... Im in Dominican Republic, all the parts I have to send them to Miami and a company sends it over to DR. No cops, no limts, so I see a lot of hi speed here.

A friend gave me as a gift a crashed bike. the hole front end is damaged. no metters, headers damaged, radiators, forks, etc damaged. Broken frame etc. This bike is carburated and it was mint before the accident. I need to see if the engine works fine, if does not work since the magneto cover is broken so there is the chance that the crank is damaged. bu I dont think so. I need a magneto cover, a wiring diagram. so I can see if the engine works and the proyect is a go... The proyect consist in building a cheap bike for everyday travel, naked, solo seat.... If the engine is a go, I will need a oil cooler, metters..... Please help me on this one, I know all of you guys have a lot of junk parts in your garage, like stock exaust, parts etc. Thanks for your help. motoseteo@gmail.com

Hi Im new here. And I have been working in my garage with the porting hi vel for some time for some proyects. I realy like your gains. Since I saw some other post I whant to make some aclarations. 1- the new heads of gixxers CANNOT be done like the old school, you need another numbers and another way of reducing ports. A friend of mine that works on race engines gets +8 midrange and +5 on a NEW K5-6 engine. with smaller ports. 2- smaller ports sometimes fooll you thinking you have less topend. the thing is now you have so much mid that you dont feell the top coming. I recived as a gift a XX, with the front end crashed. If I see that the engine is nice I will do the porting and biuld a naked bike. I have ported zx12r. K2, zx9. F2-3. bye
