  1. I had the same problem. Had a piece of wire in my Avon last year. Tire had less than 2,000 mile on it. The bitch was I was heading to Canada that weekend (Mosport) and had it plugged. Rode it up there and back. But took it real easy. That plug was always in the back of my mind. Changed the tire as soon as I got home. I know quite a few people that ride with different brands of tire on the front and rear. I don't care for it my self though. Ken
  2. Nik, as fence's go that is one nice looking fence. I have been looking at fencing myself. But I have to go right to the ground because of my pups. Nice job. Looks great. Ken
  3. Well half of it is magnetic. I won a Sargent Metro tank bag at a local dealer open house last year. Love this bag. Anyway the base of the bag has straps that go around the front and magnets on the back. Stable at any speeds. http://www.sargentcycle.com/superbag.htm
  4. I get shit all the time from my wife  Anyway, fixed and back in the saddle again!
  5. Ok found the problem. Like an ass I must have wrapped a strap from my tank bag around the wires to the switch. Broken wire. Damn. Thanks guys for your help. Ken
  6. Ok with 43,000 miles on the clock this is the first problem I have had with this bike. Just went and filled up the tank and was backing out away from the pump and no power! Nothing. Put it on the center stand and looked around and it started. Pulled out the the station and it died. Started back up, went around a corner and it died. Pulled in my driveway and it dies. What the hell is going on? She does not spit or sputter, just dies like you turned the key off. Any ideas?
  7. Great company! Ordered my tires and they arrived 3 days later. Fast, and great service. Will buy from them again, Ken
  8. I learn from the best! :poke:
  9. I might show up at Americade on the Saturday. Just for the day. It's about 4 hours from me also. I just hate paying the damn $10 or whatever it is to go and buy things. Ken

  12. I have the 45/46 combo on my bike. Getting 1 front to every 2 rear tires. They seem to be sticky enough for me. Going to put on another set when needed. Ken
  13. Does is sound like a bunch of marbles in the case rolling around. If it does my guess would be the CCT. Time to change to an X-11 CCT. Ken
  14. I have a 97 with almost 43,000 miles. Not one problem except the CCT. Ken
  15. Go back to the Mobil 1. I would not take a chance with it. Just my .2. Ken
  16. Ok, I have a couple of questions. If I was going to update my front suspension what would you recommend? I have a 97 XX and weigh 190 lbs. Any ideas on approx cost? Is it easy or hard to do yourself? Or should I just save up some money and take it somewhere to have done? Thanks guys, Ken
  17. Congrats and welcome. You will love it. Ken
  18. Ditto! And I will purchase them again, Ken
  19. WOW  I really like the blackchrome. Very nice indeed. Ken
  20. Grab handle for putting the bike on the centerstand. Ken
  21. In that case I would really think about getting a HawkeOiler or Scottoiler. Or maybe a trailer to haul the bike until you get to paved roads. Ken
  22. I don't know about everyone else, but I would get it and ride it awhile before you change too much. Put a little time in the saddle of her and then if you do any mods you will know if you like them better than stock or not. Just my .02 Ken
  23. Dave WTF, you could have given me 2K and I would ran behind you down the street whipping your bare ass with a belt. What a work out that would be. Good luck bud, stay with it. Ken
  24. Ok Redd, going to try this one. Sounds really good. Thank you for posting it. Ken
