  1. Sold my 'bird several months ago, so I no longer need the helmet and jacket. The jacket is a size 44 Cortech Piuma in like new condition (no scrapes, rubs, smells, anything). The helmet is a medium Shoei RF-1100 TC-5 Warlord with tinted (and original) shield, and is new in the box. Jacket $165 obo Helmet $385 obo Prices plus shipping...
  2. Not much interest in the package deal. How about: Bike $5,000 obo Trailer $900 obo.

  4. Came with the bike, so I didn't have much choice at the time. The neighbors really enjoyed it when I would leave at 4:30 in the morning when I was flying back-and-forth to Florida every week.
  5. Probably around $20 for ups ground. I estimated 15 lbs, but that's probably on the heavy side.
  6. Selling the 4-2-1 D&D that I just removed from my '99. The end of the can and full mid-pipe have been coated black, and the PO indicated that the header pipe had been ceramic coated. There is some surface rust on the bottom of the header, and I'm not sure how many years/miles the system had been on the bike. System comes with everything shown in the pics, but I don't have installation instructions. The system was just too loud for my tastes. Asking $250 plus shipping, o.b.o.
  7. Picking up an RF-1100, so I won't need this one any longer. Helmet is in like-new condition, with maybe 200 miles total. No scratches on shell or face plate. I removed the HJC logo decals. Size is medium. Here is a stock photo, as I'm at the office right now. I'll post actual photos this evening. Asking $100
  8. Fair enough. Ordered the Akra system last night. Looks like I'll be having some fun next week.
  9. But not nearly as much fun....! I was trying to be nice. Actually looks to be in pretty fine shape. Not sure how long it's been mounted, but the bike has 25,000 miles.
  10. Nah, it's a full 4-2-1 header. Can't tell what the make is though...well, maybe if I pulled the fairing.
  11. Not too loose, not too tight....just right. Wait, what were we talking bout? Well, I spent the morning checking some vids of 'birds with the Akra full system. I gotta tell ya, I'm really diggin' that sound. Looks like a new system and re-tune might be in the near future.
  12. Well, none "installed" yet anyway. I haven't found all my stuff from the move yet. Thanks for the compliment. The can probably hasn't been re-packed...well, ever. So I may be more taken with the sound after some freshening up.
  13. I'll check into it. The 450 gram size package adequate for one can?
  14. I've had my '99 bird almost a year now, and love it. I just haven't been able to ride recently after moving to Atlanta from Florida (blood is still too thin until warmer temps arrive). The bike came with a single sided D&D exhaust, though I'm not sure if the header is a D&D unit or not. Everything is ceramic coated black, to match all of the powder coated items on the bike - love the look. But, the damn thing is just too loud. The bike is slightly modded with a PCII, and a 46T Supersprox (all other stuff is just cosmetic). What I'm looking to do (and need advice on, since an engineering genius I am not), is to keep as much of the current system as I can, and swap out the D&D can. I found an old thread similar to this prior, but just have lost track of it. My thought is acquiring a single Two Brothers M5 VALE CF can, and having it modified to fit the current setup, since the only M5 set offered for the XX is the dual slip-on. Of course, the cost of completing all of this is probably similair to just picking up one of the available single side sytems out there (like an Akra), except that I would still have to have it coated to match the current look. What say you...? T.I.A.
  15. I'll take the mirrors, if you still have them. PM'd
  16. Nope, just burned once (edited the original post for clarity). I was wearing shorts, stupidly, for a quick ride up the island. But, with the way the bike went over, my calf ended up on the pipe for a few seconds. Thanks for the link! Still a little loopy from the Darvocet.
  17. Looking for a new LH mirror glass. Had a minor tip over in the driveway (minor except for the 2nd degree burn from my calf hitting the downpipe), and got lucky that only the mirror glass was injured...well, on the bike anyway. Just looking to see if there are any floating around out there for my '99. Thanks!
