I put a K&N on my 01 and honestly didn't see/feel any difference

Saaaayyyy, you wouldn't be favoring a certain year or color would you because acording to the data that I have, the 01 Candy Red is about 15mph faster than any of the other years and colors...

How about this, your coils are located at the top/frnt of the engine.....maybe as your riding it is throwing enough water up over the rad to ground out your coils????

If you have a 10$ ohm meter, you can use that to trace your wires.....probably alot quicker than pissing around looking for a diagram...

I'm sure going to ask Avon to replace the tire. It doesn't really look like road damage. It looks more like a manufacturing defect. I agree.

I own an automotive electric shop......My guess is possibly one of two things. 1) Your stator is breaking down when it gets hot....can be checked with a good quality ohm meter or meg ohm meter. or 2) Retifier is going...Any elctrical rebuild shop will have a regulator tester that can test to see if your re R/R is breaking down under load/heat. So if you know of one, remove the R/R and take it to them...they shouldn't charge ya to test it...I wouldn't Don't dwell on the clock. If your charging system was working properly your bike would have started right up at the store. Besides , a .6MA draw would take weeks to run down a good battery.....

I looked into that as well, I got a buddy who welds Aluminum for a living...if I don't go that route I was gonna modify my hindle stand to lift on the swing arms. Ya Ya Ya, I could just buy another rear stand, but that would start cuttin into my beer fund....I mean really

My buddy has a 01 and lives in town, he does his once a season....I live down a mile of gravel road, I do mine twice a season.

The tire doesn't tell you what grade of oil to run in your engine, so why would you let the car dictate tire pressure?

Didn't I read somewhere that HID's don't do well when placed somewhere that they must turn on and off alot....like a high beam......

I went thru the same sort of thing on my Gixxer. Either goo be gone or brake clean will eventualy work.....just be REALLY carefull on how much pressure you use, and work in a circular pattern. What ever you do don't get all pissed off, loose your mind cause the jobs taking to long, and start scrubbing up and down and back and fourth and pushing and scrubbing etc like some other dummy I know did

Just got my hands on a can of Amsoil synthetic chain lube....going to try it out and see if it's any better than the chain wax I'v been using. Has anyone else tried the Amsoil chain lube? Like it...Hate it ?

Runnin hot hot the other day while bikini hunting at the beach. Fan not working. Long story short, found loose fan fuse terminals in fuse block. Used a small pick to close up female terminals...problem fixed. I ride with another XX, had him check his bike....his fan fuse was getting loose in his terminal block as well. Anyone else ever had this problem?
