  2. I know a lot of people had asked when I posted up pictures of my dash and it was only available for the analog dash, well I found a genunine honda part digital dash if anyone is interested. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Honda-CBR1...=item27cbb4b176
  3. Dayum i wanted the riser kit... on well guess I missed out. I already have the smuggler and beetle bags so good luck with the sale!
  4. Post away. Pics and prices on the RC-51 stuff. Prices are posted pics to follow Friday!
  5. Ok I currently have some 3 spoke carbon fiber wheels on my XX and have been playing around with going to 5 spoke or even putting a single sided swing arm on the XX. tri CF XX-2500 5 spoke CF BST RC51-2500 SOLD 5 spoke mag Dymag RC51-1500 SOLD All that is left is the TRI SPOKE Dymag CF's if anyone is interested.
  6. Man I would love to have that bike. THe VFR rear end is beautiful!!!
  7. I have dealt with many shops (not in your part of michigan as I am from grand rapids area). Dealers generally are flat rate meaning they charge based on manufactures required hours for maintenance. For example a 16K service on an XX would be say 4.5 hours of labor. So if labor rate was 80 per hour then you would be paying 360 for labor which is non taxable, then there is the cost for oil, oil filter, shims (depending on application) and so on. now if it takes that mechanic 8 hours to do the service oh well he is only getting paid the 4.5 hours. Non dealerships it can go many ways, some will charge flat rate, some c harge actual.. meaning if it took 8 hours, your going to pay for 8 hours of labor.
  8. Check with your local Honda dealer. Any Honda tech should be familiar with what to do. They all should have the service manual and the 1100 motor is not much different than the 937 or 893 motor that is in the 900RR and 900F.
  9. I know an ass ton that use the Scotts ones for off road and a couple onroad. I never bought into it. Oil filters arent that expensive and I think the cost of the stainless ones is equivalent to 6 oil filters last time I looked into it and thats 18-24K miles... I havent put that many miles on my bike in a short enough time to care about the cost of the filter.
  10. Ok most of you all seen the repsol gear I got earlier this year, well I went ahead and designed a suit to match my RC51 and CBR1100XX, also got a matching jacket and some custom white gloves. Cant wait till it shows up, here is the print!!! (gloves are white version of casey stoner gloves, and i have orange version to match the repsol gear). This stuff is very in expensive, fully custom, kangaroo leather, kevlar stitching and fill panels, excellent CE armor including hip pads, also will have integrated hydro pack in the hump. Lots of great features at an outstanding price! Nothing beats the feel of custom made suit either!
  11. Ok here is the deal. I have the ability to have the following parts made. Scotts/GPR steering damper mounting bracket also a billet front sprocket cover. Many of you have seen my Scotts damper on the XX and I have gotten together with another forum member with a machine shop that will be creating a bracket similar but better. Current design requires drilling 4 holes, 2 in the frame and 2 in the upper triple clamp. Depending on cost and demand it may be produced as a complete unit upper clamp. Right now these are made for some race bikes but not street bikes. I cant quote prices just yet but I would imagine the bracket would run 75-100 where as the upper clamp may run upwards of 350-400 also dependent on how many are interested. Link is of the race triple to give an example. Also picture of it installed on my XX. http://intrinsic3d.com/portfolios/intrinsic-triple/ Same goes for the front sprocket cover. The "Hayden Mod" as it is called is very popular on the RC51 and 04-07 CBR1000RR. As you can see in the attached pictures its a billet aluminum sprocket cover that leaves the front gear exposed. Makes it easy to keep the chain cleaner and gear clean as no junk piles up inside the cover and it looks pretty trick too. The plan is to produce them first for the XX then manufacture ones for the RC51 and 04-07 CBR1000RR. They look super fancy with a billet clutch slave too! Attached are some pictures of what it looks like on my bike.
  12. Id have to agree that the cam chain tensioner sounds like the culprit. The clutch on the bike stock is relatively quite, if you put in an aftermarket clutch or for some reason when you replaced the clutch with stop places there is a jutter ring and spring plate in there behind the last plate that reduces clutch noise. If these are removed the clutch is slightly noisier.
  13. Factory pro is the best set up hands down!
  14. Interested in the powerlet kit but doing some research to see if it is what Im looking for! Yeah im looking for the PKT-042-48 kit sorry.
  15. ON A 6" RIM I would guess, Chad, So do I. But, on a 5.5, bad idea. oh yeah and I guess everything I got is 6" rims...lol missed that one key bit of info!
  16. you can also get the entire dyna set up coil CDI and that comes with adjustable ignition.
  17. You know I hear a lot of people complain about the 190/55 rear tire but I run it and love it!
  18. Factory pro made them too give them a call they still might make em!!
  19. Removing the head is a snap and it is done purely to lower the CR. If your head is known to be in good shape with low miles, going through it is unnecessary and the rest of the work a waste of $. You can gain the same HP as all the head and cam and pipe and carb mods in the world by turning the adjustment knob on the boost controller and adding 1-2 lbs of boost. What you will really do is gain in the torque dept. My bike makes 125- 135 lbs tq at 8 lbs and 155 lbs tq at 12 lbs. Those power levels are impossible to achieve with a NA BB motor and in fact you can't even get close...Figure 90 lbs if you're spend a lot of money and get real lucky. This doesn't even take into account the stress levels on parts...Very high on NA while very low on the turbo. The pistons and rods only become necessary above 275 RWHP and then the pistons more so than the rods. I have had a set of custom CP pistons (the first and only set made) on the shelf at my distributors since December or so and can have rods, standard length as well as custom, in 4 to 6 weeks. These parts are designed to withstand 30 pounds of boost, entirely unnecessary for anything but shootout bike horsepower, but they are there and the work has been done to make them available. They are cheaper than you would think. The limiting factor and the beauty of a well designed kit is to make the most HP safely on pump gas and thats right about 250 RWHP. At that power level, all internal components are fine with a proper tune-up. Hank My engine is in great shape, 16k miles (prolly only 14k as i have changed sprockets) but fully tuned up and had hours of dyno tuning a couple years back after I finished the build.
  20. Im interested but dont want to do the install.....lol lazy I know... if im going to take the head off its going to get port and polished oversized stainless or ti valves maybe some cams or at least adjustable sprocekts for the cams then pistons and rods and now its a 10K+ build....lol
  21. so whens these kits ready, and how difficult is the install for a basic turbo?
  22. Got a few things I need to clear out to make room. PM me if interested in anything 09 CBR1000RR Repsol wheels with rotors and sprockets- 650 obo Axio Hayden Axio Swift 2.0 back pack (new) 200 obo (for 200 I will include a special signed Hayden item and special repsol item) Indianapolis Moto GP Axio Swift 2.0 back pack (new silver color) 150 obo Indianapolis Moto GP Axio Swift 1.0 back pack (new blue color) 125 obo
  23. THey are only an hour and a half away from me and i have a box from dymag for shipping their wheels ie all the protectors and shit so if someone wants them hit me up I will pick them up and ship them out.
  24. I may just jump on them because I can... and hold them until someone finds a need for em. THe bolt hole issue is very minor, PDQ CSA or whatever bought out Dymag and hired back on some people after purchasing all their equipment at auction and put them back on the map so yes they can repair dymag wheels.
