  1. I saw a thread, I believe on this forum, about "Will a Blackbird go 200 MPH?". Some of the replies were about changing the gearing(sprockets). My question is. My 01 Bird is totally stock. I would like to get more top end out of it. But, I don't want to burn the clutch up because of having too high a gear. What are some suggestions on sprocket(only) changing? Also any drawbacks to this change? Thanks
  2. Thanks for the info guys. This helps a bunch. Mark
  3. Thanks OrganDonor, I don't have either yet, accept of course stock on bike. I know what the measurements of Heli vs stock. Just don't know VFR's vs stock, have read that they are about 2 inches higher. Not sure how accurate this is? :icon_think:
  4. Questions to anyone who can answer this. I am trying to find the dimensions of VFR bars on a Blackbird, so I can compare with Heli's? I am looking for how much more height closest to the fork and also end of bar. Along with how far back they come against our stock bars? Thanks, Mark
  5. I have the Vista Cruise on my 01 BB US model. I put in on only 2-3 weeks ago, about 400 miles. I really like it at this point. :icon_clap: As Helvet indicated it is actually mounted around the throttle twist itself, not on the grip. If these grips are longer than standard grips, this could create a problem with the throttle snap back when releasing the Vista Cruise. I have BikeMaster Dense Foam Sport Grips which I have no problem with my cruise. One thing I suggest is if you go with Vista to mount the way the guy did on the link below. Otherwise the thumb lock is on the bottom in a bad position. I did mine exactly this way and it works perfect. I used a larger screw than 5mm, but 5 is fine I am sure. Good luck which ever route you choose. http://www.bikersoracle.com/jaws/cruse1.htm Redbird USA
