  1. Oh Chris, the F4 did have functional ram air. It had the oval tubes where as the F4i has the L shape tubes.
  2. Believe it or not Dave, our bikes' ram air actually comes into play with pressure at 90 mph. It's the best designed ram air ever put on a bike so far. Sport Rider even says so. http://sportrider.com/tech/146_9910_ram/ http://sportrider.com/tech/146_9912_ram/ I think the dipshit on cycleforums don't know what he's talking about. Some non ram air bikes run better with the top of the air box removed for less restriction.
  3. I do all my brake stuff through Cycle Brakes. Great people.
  4. believe speedbleeders have a one way valve in them to let air and fluid out but not back into the caliper.
  5. Probably in the front brake switch or the associated wiring.

    Engine problems

Where's your PC located at? You might have accidentally pressed the manual fuel adjustment on the outside of the PC. Unplug it and see if it goes away. Might be time to reinstall your map into it.
  7. Bicardi 151 and diet Mt. Dew don't taste that bad.
  8. I'd get estimates from local pool contractors on this one and see if it's worth the hassle to do it yourself. There are quite a few people around here that are going with the salt water pools instead of chlorine.
  9. I'd check your voltage. Your reg/rec may be going south and not putting out enough voltage to let the fan spin up to what it should.
  10. The o2 sensor is in the exhaust. It measures the air/fuel ratio and is found on Cali and Euro bikes. All the K&N's I've ever used I wash and oil myself before I put them in. The one I got for my GSXR was way over oiled from K&N.

    New Garage

Naaa, just my truck. It's a Ford after all. I didn't have the proper tool to put the rear main seal in it when I rebuilt the engine and it leaks a little. Not enough leak to pull the trans to replace it though.
  12. You should actually be running leaner. Does your bike have an o2 sensor on it? You might have over oiled it.

    New Garage

Well, it's just about done. All I need is to put some more shelves in it (which will later be replaced by cabinets when the fundage is better), finish moving a little more stuff, and finishing the driveway. Next year I'm going to finish the inside with insulation and wall covering. I've got 2 220 outlets in there as well as plenty of 110 outlets. One of the 220 outlets is large enough for a big welder and the other is for an air compressor which is on my "Christmas List". I think the bird will fit nicely in it's new bird house.

    rc51 forks

They'll fit. You'll need the lower and upper tripple clamps, front brakes and rotors, front brake lines, front master cylinder, clipons, fender, wheel, stiffer front springs for the added weight, and you need to delink your brakes. EliXXiR has done this swap on his bird and it's not a cheap or easy swap. Looks killer though and should improve the handling of your bird.

    fast idle

I have to adjust mine from time to time. Even had the cable unscrew itself from the wax unit once and it would not idle at all.
  16. I'd say that's right. You'll loose like what, 10lbs per wheel. Damn. I'd drive 4 hours somewhere in a heartbeat to get a set of those and drop a pup off. That bike is gonna be mean.
  17. :cum: :cum: :cum: :cum: That's so cool. Basically free carbon fiber wheels. You lucky bastage
  18. Warm the bike up before you drain your oil. Hot oil drains better and more completely than cold oil.
  19. K&N jet kits are the Dynojet ones. I used to have a stage 3 K&N on my old GSXR. It was a total pain in the ass to get right. Took me a good month messing with the needles (2 sets and both were adjustable), jets (mine came with 3 sets of jets) and screws and slide springs (2 sets) till I got it right. Ran like shit till I got the right combo, then it was perfect.
  20. I've run a 205 front with a 220 rear, then went with an avon 45 front with the 220. No problems at all, except the 205 sounded like a tractor tire.

    Dimmer switch

Looks like in your description of the wiring, the box is a junction for another outlet. Sometimes electricians will run wires from one box to another to save time and wire runs. Your dimmer is designed to work off of one leg of power (2 blacks coming out of the box) and the whites tied together to complete the circuit from the power coming into the box and going out to the light and another plug/switch. Same with the blacks, two tied together (power into the box and power going out to another switch/plug) with one black going out to the light on the other side of the switch. I'm not an electrician, but know a few and am fixing to start building houses on my own. You can PM Vern (X Rated) on this as he is an ex-electrician and knows his shit.
  22. Looks like a good time to polish your rim lips to me. You can do it at home, but ask someone here how to do it first, not the dude in the paint section of Wal Mart. If he says anything about a hand held grinder, walk away.
  23. Nik could probably give you ALL the info on changing your oil, and oil pan, and header pipes, and...................... Y'all would make a cute couple.
