  2. lots of stuff sold....just jackets, tank bag and helmet left. If anyone is interested in this stuff and the price listed is too high, make an offer. thanks!
  3. tires gone and ad cleaned up...thanks everyone!
  4. lowering brackets/pegs and windscreens sold. Gear and tires still available...thanks again!
  5. I will find out buyback today probably. I've got my mind made up to let this bike go. I'm looking at the VFR's to get my insurance down and MPG up. I'm sure it won't make me smile as much when I roll the throttle, but that is the way it'll go.
  6. thanks Dave...I think I'd just throw a Hong Kong fairing set on at near that price because of all the other damage. If I could get a nosecone for cheap, I'd just ride it. Might be a moot point though as it's been deemed a total loss. Now I have to wait for the salvage company to tell me how much buyback is if they will even let me. We'll see.
  7. got into a lowside and the only part so destroyed that I can't use it is the nosecone fairing. Miraculously the headlight is intact. 2001 Glory Red would be the preferred color. I might just put a set of the Hong Kong fairings on and get the tank painted to match. Insurance company might total it out and I could just get a different bike altogether, but wanted to see if someone had parts that would work. I know Ron Ayers is an option too, but just wanted to float this out there and see who's got what. I walked away fine btw
  8. another one up here in Sac http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/mcy/1806051059.html
  9. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/mcy/1803979755.html not mine...but on my CL I bought mine in LA and rode it home.
  10. where did you get the brake/clutch covers? I love the black ones! those wheels look sweet on there! good luck on your sale!
  11. yeah those are the ones I saw for sale. I was just wondering if Honda put any out with that or I just got lucky (or semi lucky since I only have one...LOL)
  12. I needed a left footpeg assembly and got this off of ebay. Over the weekend I was putting it on and hadn't noticed before it's got a lowering bracket on it. (similar to what I've seen for sale) Did I just happen to get an assembly that someone bought those bits for and had on there or is there another Honda peg assembly with the lowering bracket already on there? I didn't keep the lowering part on because I didn't have the match and it also laid right on the stock exhaust and didn't fit quite right. (some percussion engineering probably would've got it to go) So for now I've got the foot peg just on the assembly without the lowering piece, but might want to get a match for the other side someday as I'm 6'3" What say you?
  13. so what year(s) left (if any) has the pass flicker switch? My stock 2001 doesn't have one. Did they add it later? I swapped this out on my old Katana and went to a 2003/4/5 (don't remember) pod for my 2002 and it plugged right in. sorry for the off topic.
  14. what do I have to do with it??? LOL.....hijack! do the euro or later year left sides have the pass flicker switch? thanks in advance...
  15. LOL....thanks guys. the price is usually on the CL ad title and I always miss it on the copy and paste...asking 3500 obo
  16. anyone got one cheap? I have a smoked touring and am too tall so it just pushes the air up into my head....
  17. thanks redwingedblackbird....at this point, I'm not going to sink any more money in to not get it back out....looks like based on no inquiries that I'll be waiting until the weather is good and moving it then.
  18. price lowered and I will try and get fairing chunk missing pic. Basically the bottom right hand triangle where it comes to the V is missing. If you don't care about it, it rides fine. If you want it perfect, it'll need a new lower...
  19. we just had a massive power outage dropping our whole building. should be fine now
  20. now it's just a pic post selling my Katana 750 instead.... http://jeff.alfordcomputers.com/katpage/index.htm
  21. thanks Krypt Keeper....I will go through and give it a tuneup (which I was planning on anyway) sounds like it'll run even better after that's all done. Bike is stock and prior maint is word of mouth only. It's got 17k miles on it. 40mpg "being a good boy" is a far cry from the 28 I just did on this tank trying to "be a good boy"..... thanks for the replies everyone!
