My girlfriend's camera flash is not working. And I installed the bags the correct direction and the look better then the way I had them , Thanks for the advice. Regards, Ron
  2. I like it, think about painting wheels the same color.
  3. No not yet Tom, It's done was hoping to pick it up today after work if it dosen't snow! Ron
  4. Yeah, I see what you guys are talking about. My bikes at the shop so I can't try them on, they look like they would be more aerodynamic the way I have them. That's why I thought they went on in the direction they are on my bike. But If you were two up the passenger could not get their feet on the pegs. I hopefully will get my bike home before the next snowstorm and see how I like them the correct way. Thanks, Ron
  5. I've tested them at 130+ with no problems, that's how they mount. Ron
  6. Hey Pete, Just want to thank you for the post I picked one rear tire up also I love saving money. I f the snow would ever get of the roads I'll get to try the tire and see how it performs.
  7. I found my paperwork on my panniers total with freight was $807.35 no vat charges. When I get my bird back I'll post pics.
  8. Yeah the cover turns and the key doesn't go in smoothly. The hair could have something to do with it. Thanks, Ron
  9. Since the day I brought my bike I have had problems inserting my key into the ignition. My bike is a 2003 and you can insert the tip of the key into the outer cover and turn the cover, your not in the tumbler yet. You can turn the cover either way which will cause it to not line up with the tumblers. Honda is telling me they are all like that? Doe's your key give you trouble? I bought this bike new so it's still under warrenty and will have them replace it if it's not working correctly. Thanks, Ron
  10. I think the shipping was close to $200.00 with the vat charges and the extra because it was a large box ,must have been oversized. It did not come with new lights just angle brackets that attach where the original signals mounted, the brackets move the tailight rearward and outward so the the tailight can be seen from the side. Ron
  11. That was with the mounting brackets. When I get my bird back from the honda dealer, I will post pics with the bags off and on. The mounting brackets don't look as bad as I thought they would with the bags off. But my bird is black so the mounts blend in. suggest painting the brackets to match the bikes color. They were selling silver or blue bags a lot cheaper than the black bags, so I brought the silver bags knowing that I could have them painted to match if I wanted. But I like the silver since I removed all the side reflectors I want the bike to standout at night.
  12. [attachmentid=5771][attachmentid=5772]I purchased my OEM panniers from Davidsilverspares paid about 780.00 and I believe that was with shipping. I looked at alot of different brands and I am glad I chose the OEM bags.
  13. I did a lot of research on rearsets to see if I could get more leg room I checked into sato, woodcraft and a few others, I didn't feel that I would get much leg room with after market rearsets, I think they are postion your feet rearward then lower. I bet you can find a used part to replace your broken part. The buell pegs were a big improvement over the stock pegs.
  14. Do those oilers throw alot of oil of the chain and on the bike? I have ben debating about installing one but I fear a major mess on my bike. Ron
  15. If you don't think you can put it together get the manual and I'll put it together for you I'll charge you but it will be fair and reasonable. And I will not jerk you around. I've put basket cases together before 30+ years mechanical experience. Sorry for your hassle, Regards, Ron
  16. Hey Thanks for the post for that price I ordered a pair too! Happy Holidays, Regards, Ron
  17. Hi Dave, I just want to know if I'm on your list for a set. Let me know what else I need to do to secure a set. Thanks, Ron
  18. You can adjust the switch there's a nut that you turn, grab the switch with one hand and turn the nut so that the switch moves toward the spring if the brakelight goes out. Release the switch and make sure the light operates correctly lube plunger with wd -40. Hope this helps. I agree the bike is awesome you can cruise at 125+ mph unlike my Harley at 85-90 you know your going that fast. Regards,Ron
  19. Hey xxallen you did it the right way, I turned mine all the way in you can cut off the excess threads if they interfere with the lug on the pedal. Regards, Ron
  20. Hey guys, When I was viewing Dave's lowering bracket replies I noticed some member's were having some problem's with their Buell peg installation. When I installed my pegs I ground the pegs so that they angled rearward, I felt they might start moving forward with time because the pressure on the pegs might compress the peg material moving them foward, because it was hard to grind them square with the stop. Also make sure you grind the peg so that there is extra clearence between the peg and brake lever because I had some problems with the brake applying after time because the peg settled a little. My pegs are still angled about 3/8 of an inch rearward which I feel better for my riding style. My thinking was if I did'nt like the angle I could alway's grind them straight. I did have to move my sidestand, because my size 13 feet where touching the nub that you step on when you put the sidestand down. I was able to move the position where the sidestand stops by cutting a piece of 3/8 fuel and positioned it between the stand and the stop with a tiewrap through the inside of the hose a around the stand. This did not affect the switch operation located on the kickstand.I have about 1800 miles since peg installation and have had no problems with the sidestand modifacation. The pegs have helped alot, but I feel they are not as comfortable on my feet as the stock pegs. I'm hoping that Dave's lowering brackets and the Buell pegs will work together to give my 6' 2 body even more room. The only thing I would like to change is to shorten may shifter lever about 1 1/4 of an inch which would help because of my big feet. I don't think I can cut and reweld the lever because it's not steel and not sure it can be welded. I'm trying to figure out how to determine if a lever from another model will work. If you guys have any suggestions besides shortening my feet it would be apprecieted. I hope this info will help someone considering this mod. Regards, Ron
  21. I considering installing the kit on my 2003 BB, Can anyone give me some feedback? Thanks Ron
  22. Hey Mike, Thanks for the info, I plan on putting the vfr helibars on my bike. let me know how it turned out.
  23. Mike I've been on the helibar website and they say you can use the stock cables and hoses, I think that the vfr helibars will give you the most upright position unless you change the hoses. This is based on the information I have come up with so far. This winter unless I find sonething better I will install the vfr helibars on my bike.
  24. My owners manual states it should be on the centerstand and oil hot do not screw in the dipstick.
