  1. I have blue mirrors and no dgital camera. Figure that one out. and no wife either that goes with saying. send me a camera and your wife and I'll take care of the rest
  2. Short story: Cool but not "all that." Full RevieW: Well I got tired of waiting for the supposed discount we'd get from being and orr-gan-ize-ation and ordered up the DSP blue mirrors from magical racing in yip-pan on the web. See also http://www.magicalracing.co.jp/LineUp/97_0...r1000xx_en.html I haven't seen the charge hit my card yet (been 4 weeks) but those crazy nips sent me the mirrors sent priority on a sunday delivered from USPS, wrapped in nipponese newspaper. They stick right over your exsiting mirrors but are concave at the center. Excellent clarity, but they attract dirt very easily for some reason, probably a grounding thing. Also not the extra view I would expect for 55 bucks for stick ons. but when you pull up behind a beemer or a benz you can see your mirrors color (blue-ish) match. The outside edge of the lense which is visible in the center of your stock. After application is not a clean finish. The edge in the center sticks out and mixes white coating with glass with blue, if you're into fine details. I sill always give a quater second look to the space I'm going to occupy. If it's clear, then just goose it.
  3. it wouldn't show up on the balancer if, worse case scenerio, it has two bulges in the rubber mold, exact same weight, at perfect 90's from each other
  4. Dudes, those look cool. http://www.magicalracing.co.jp/Products/gs...mirrors_en.html $50 bucks? I'm in. Let's fire it up. What's next? wsuttie@hotmail.com
  5. Do the Blues just stick over the top of the stocks? Are they worth it for a clean look and good vis? The site's all in Yipanese. What about the discount?
  6. i agree digital tire pressure guage works great
  7. It's hard to complain for 20 bucks, but the cheetah just does not fit flush with the cowl. It leaves the inner cowl edge exposed and the screen sits below. It's functional, but not pretty
  8. Excellent info. thanks. I've now got 1400 miles on my 02 and you're right, it already running smoother. My rising position was wrong too. I also just got a corbin seat, which is lower and also helps. I'm going to do the throttle lock next...
  9. Hey all, My new blackbird has a vibration on the throttle side of the handlebars that puts my index and second finger to sleep. Anyone have the same problem and have any fixes?
  10. All good info. I wish i would of read it before I took it off and lost a wellnut on a Saturday night. The dealer has a lot in stock for a good reason, they disappear! Especially the lower ones. I ordered the same windscreen on the National cycle website for 20 bucks! The only problem at least on the 02 is that you need the inside sticker or something to cover the lower portion wich has cables etc. The sticker alone was anther 35 bucks, but it's worth it.
  11. Hey all, I've had my 02 bird for 10 days and I put 100 miles a day on for the first six days, in 40 degree weather, for break in. It took A LOT of restraint not to get on it. Anyway, after changing the oil at 600 miles, I got caught in the rain. It ran fine until I got home and it was at 180 degrees and it boiled over in my driveway. I took the panels off, cleaned it up, reseated the radiator cap, let it dry out and it did not boil over again at idle Was it the rain? or the cap? Thanks
