  1. Yeah, I know but this years model has sold out and the intro for the new ones isnt for another 5 months. True, butt knowing it was Logomans, you can count on it having been well used but also well taken care of. That depends...is it the European or North American model? $5.00 !!!!!!!!!! :icon_shocked: Man, I wish I had that kind of money to spend on this one!!!!!
  2. I'll bid $4.00 if you throw in the batteries
  3. I have a perfectly good one that I will sell your cousin for $3000. It comes in a nifty wrapper that is black, red and white with two handy wheels to roll it around on. Even has it's own four cylinder sound system Sory, no I don't have an R/R laying around
  4. Thanks Rich - lets see what happens Just so everyone knows, the pictures I uploaded are from when we bought the bike with the "old pipe" The link takes you to the dealers site with current pics. The bike looks the same as when we bought it Clean! Also, the windsheild on it in the link is a cheap double bubble - stock screen comes with it too
  5. Selling our 1997 CBR 600 F3 Bike has a fresh oil/filter change, fresh coolant, good tires, good brakes and what appears to be the original body work. We bought the bike a few years ago for use by the kids (XXTailwieght and Will) and has never been down in our possession. We changed out the slip on with a Jardine RT1 and it has Pirelli Diablo tires on it. Mileage is at 32,000 (or a bit more) and the bike has not been ridden at all this year. In fact it has been sitting on the dealers floor since last Sept/Oct. The bike rides nice and once ridden, you will know it has been taken care of. Some of you may remember the bike from when Suz and I met a few of you at SeXXt a couple of years ago. The history of the bike as I was told from the previous owner is that she used it for an Instructors Bike during MSF Training and the Harley Riders training, so to call it a "track bike" is a misleading statement. The previous owner had a V-Rod for a street bikle and used this one for instructing classes at the local tracks. It was stored at the local Honda dealer and taken care of by them as sort of a sponsor arrangement. When I went to look at it, I rode it for less thna five minutes and knew it was a keeper. Suz would like something a little less demanding (an SV650 ) and seeing the general populace up here rides either Hardleys or Metric Cruisers, there has been lots of lookers but no buyers. Mostly kids that can't afford the insurance. Along with the bike I have a spare gas tank (very good condition, no rust or dents but stripped), two used lower fairings and one side of the rear cowl sections. I also have an H4 HID kit (never installed), a new Diablo front, and a new rear sprocket (Think it's a Vortex - to lazy to go look) and whatever other parts I have laying around. Kelley book on it is $3290 and Motorcycle Consumer News put it at $2900. Asking $3000.00 but am somewhat negotiable. Bike can be delivered to NeXXt or anywhere along the way for no charge as long as it is at that time. I will help with delivery any way I can. Would be willing to trade for something like an SV or Nighthawk. PM me if interested Dealership Linky

    Any Ideas?

Thanks Guys - I'll think about all suggestions and let you know how I fuck things up Really, Thanks
  7. I got the Handy stands as a present but wasn't really happy with them. Just didn't seem to work properly (so don't waste your money on them). I started to search and narrowed it down to Pit Bull or T-Rex. Pit Bull, while one of the best, are very proud of their product and the pricing reflects this. That, and for the number of times I would use them, I could not see paying that much for "wall" decorations. I ordered the T-Rex Racing Stands as the pair with the triple tree adapter in chrome. I paid a bit more for the chrome as I hate it when powder coating/paint chips on stuff. I paid $171.90 for the stands, which come with one triple tree pin, and $8.00 for an additional pin for my other bike. The gold anodized or powder coated stands go for $146.90 plus shipping. I believe shippingis $25.00 as the box mine came in weighed 35 pounds. They bolted together easily and feel pretty substantial. Tubing is 1.5 inches in diameter (for the most part - see website and you'll see what I mean). The rears come so you can either use spools or the rubber coated universal "pegs". I used them the other day to change the tires and install new brake pads on the 929 (and detail areas you can't normally reach ) and could not be happier. I am definitely installing spools for that "secure" feeling (I searched the Garage for comments and Redbird made some that sold me on spools - Thanks Tim) but the front stand worked slick as shit and the rear did what it was supposed to do. It was just me being paranoid about the bike falling off the lift that made me secure the swingarm with c-clamps to prevent sliding All in all, a good product and the people seem to care about customer service. If I ever need stands again (Present for my Brother, maybe) I will not hesitate to buy these.

    Any Ideas?

I have decided to add spools to the swing arms of both the 929 and the Bird as with the new stands (T-Rex Racing) I just am not comfortable using the rubber sleeves to insure the bike stays put. When I had the 929 hanging, wheel-less, I ened up C-Clamping blocks on the swingarm so I could sleep. Spools are definitely in the future and I have the Riv-nut (NutSerts) on the way and will order the spools tonight. I have the measurements, thanks to this place and the Fireblades forum for the 929. I have my swingarm chromed, and am wondering if anybody knows a good way to drill it so I don't chip the fuck out of the chrome. I know, I should have done this before chroming, but it didn't happen. So, is there a way to drill chrome plated objects and not tear the shit out of the chrome? I would appreciate any help in this matter. Thanks BTW - The T-Rex stands are a nice product. I got the ones with the front triple tree adapter and pins for the 929 and the bird. I got the chrome ones and am really happy with them. I would not have a problem leaving the Bird hanging wheel-less in them and the front stand works slick. While they may not be PitBulls, they are a good buy for the average bike owner. They messed up and shipped the pins but not the stands, so it ended up being $171.90 to my door plus the additional $8.00 for the second pin.
  9. I have both of my headlights converted to HID. As for the high beam needing alot of warm up time, I have not had that bad an experience with that aspect of them. If you just fire them up every so often while running along, the ulb must stay "warm" or something as it will fire right up when I hit it. That way I have the best of both worlds.
  10. Dave - Send me a phone number, I may know someone who would be interested. Only problem is getting it here but we will worry about that later. (I don't have my cell phone with me or I would just call you on that )_

    Laminate Flooring

Tom - I think this is the place that I got my flooring from. If anything, it is a very informitive site. They offer all the info on floors they sell. Check it out. Like I said, I saved a ton of money by -buying from these guys, and doing it myself. Hope this helps. http://www.hoskinghardwood.com/Hardwood_Fl...ood_Floors.aspx

    Laminate Flooring

I did a laminate floor in our "back room" and avoided the "picture of wood on a wood-like product" stuff. I found a laminate that consisted of three layers of plywood with the top layer (number three) being the actual wood. If you divide a half inch pc of plywood into three layers, the top layer is a little thicker than 5/16th thick. I got it delivered to my door for about the same as Home Despot had their crap on sale for. Check with Lumber Liquidators and pay attention to the way it's constructed. I had to glue it, but installation was an easy job, once I figured how to deal with a room that was 6 inches out of square. I cannot remember, but it was around $3.75 a square foot delivered with a twenty five year finish/defect warranty and was a Bruce Product, so they will be around for a while. JMHO
  14. Okay kids - This bike is available to anyone that may be interested. I went and checked it out and it would be a great first bike for someone. I am not in any great hurry to replace the F3, even though it is on the dealers sales floor. If I get my dollar for it, great. If not, I can always lower the price or just let the kids ride it nexxt summer. So, if someone is not wooried (or doesnt want to worry) about cosmetics - this woiuld probably make someone pretty happy. But being the anal picky bastard I am, we just had to pass on it, and I will just keep looking!
  15. Let me know if you want me to give it a looksee. Brian - The bike is located in the guys parents garage right now. It's in South Rockwodd, how far is that from you? As you know, it's a bit of a drive for me, but I didn't want to impose, but will if you want me to , you guys have been very cool about checking things out. Will get with him today and try to work things out. Will email you if something comes up.....and Thanks
  16. I claim dibs on this one kids. I have been in contact with the guy and we are trying to figure out when I can drive down and look at it (with Will of course, seeing it will be his, well, sort of). I figure if anything, I can sell it nexxt year for more than I paid for it. Now to find a SV650 for Suz and get rid of the F3. Will keep you posted.
  17. Man, I wish I had the funding in place for this bike!!! This is Suzi's dream bike......color and all. It is by far the prettiest of the later F4i's and will make someone a great ride. If you still have it in a few months, PM me and maybe we can work something out!!!

Or some of us that do not live in the Republik of Kalifornya could send you some Honda Polis
  19. Hell Dood - Just order a new Storm front and have it in two days - easy deal/ live in the sticks in Michigan and have had them deliver tires in three days!! Either that or order a Pirelli front and change to the Diablo when your rear wears out. I would definitely recommend the Diablo's - just the straught Diablos - grreat grip and decnt mileage!!!

    520 Conversion?

Uh, I have to take it that its not recommended, huh? :icon_doh: I was just wondering about it. :icon_think: I was thinking it would not hold up and was just curious. Probably just go with a stock set of sprockets and a nickel chain Whats the prefered aftermarket chain these days?
  21. Anybody done this one yet, and if yes, was it worth the effort? I was just over at HardRacing.com and they are offering a "deal" on 520 conversions. I have thought about this before and seeing I have 23K on the chain and sprockets, it is time for a change before NeXXt. Just have never asked if anyone has done it. Thanks in advance
  22. I had 21K on my original plugs and if held up next to a new one, the only difference seemed to be the color. I noticed no change in start up, mileage etc at all with the new plugs. I really did not need new plugs, but while it was this far apart having the valves checked (all perfect) we thought this was a prudent thing to do. Charlie
  23. Where did you find them in JC Whitney? The biggest bitch about those is that the Stealer wants blood, and the guys in England want your first born for shipping. Any additional info would be appreciated!! Charlie

    Hugger question

If I run through dirt, you can hear it rubbing the hugger. I elongated the mopunting holes and that seemed to help, then I went and installe Pirelli Diablo tires and the damn thing runs just like before. I've gotten to the point that it doesnt bother me as I can't keep elongating the mounting holes forever. I probably have 10k miles on this hugger with it occasionally making noise. I have also tried shimming under the brake line brackets to no avail. It pisses me off, but I'm not going to reman the swingarm and brackets for something this minor. :icon_duh: (and yes, I have tried the heat gun trick) - no advice for you, but just letting you know you aren't alone Charlie
