GO for the spools, Much safer. The ones with the tabs can slide. You should be fine to just drill and tap.

Mine has been working fine for a few years now. It's been in heavy rain too

I have the pilot power 2ct 's (dual compound). I was able to give them a good tryout at wvexxt. They are sweet, handle awesome. I'll try to report back on how long they last.

I put an 01 oem rectifier on my 00. It works great. It comes with a longer harness to locate it on the other side.
-
I love it. I noticed quite a difference when you roll-on the throttle. I remember the numbers on the midrange values being alot higher.
Let me know what you think

Here is my map. It's for a 2000 with micron slip-ons

So you have no vacuum can ?
interesting....
-
Get the vacuum off the base of the carbs. there should be 1/4 black hose coming off each one. find a spot where they come together for the most vacuum possible.
sounds like you figured out the coils

I don't have any pictures, sorry. Mine is a 2000 it's fuel injected.
-
I installed one on my bike. I put the motor in the tail, and the vacuum canister along the side where the handle for the rear stand is.

I've been running a 01 r/r on my 00 since last year. Works just fine.

Excellent !

What year was that VFR front sprocket that had the right offset ? I searched but couldn't find it.
Thanks

Has anyone seen or heard anything about GPR exhausts ?
I wonder what different setups they have.

I just looked the tires over again after that 3 hour race plus an hour or so of practice and they deffinately held up well.
We are running them at autobahn on 5/7 for a 4 hour race.
-
Not sure on the price. The tires held up real well. They looked like they had atleast another practice on them. 3 other guys I knew were running them, R1, GSXR750 and an RC. They all liked them real well. The Michelin guy claimed guys at Daytona were running them as low as 19psi
-
We ran our 3 hour endurance on a set of the new Michelin Pilot Power Race's. They are a dual compound DOT tire. Medium in the center and soft on the sides. They were excellent ! We ran 29psi in the front and believe it or not 23 psi in the rear. The Michelin guy recommended 20-22psi !! I wouldn't have believed him until I felt the difference in the sidewall. Man the PR's are a stiff side wall. The tires were impressive. A must try for a trackday or race.
BTW we got 3rd in heavy weight. Damn that 999 is fast.

Here's an idea.
Did you get a one way valve for the vacuum can ?
Also, I wired mine straight to one of the coils. I had the wires crossed originally then I switched them around and it worked fine.
I kinda doubt you messed up the servo dip switches. they're pretty simple.

I used to but I can't find em for the life of me.
Some of the sites I've seen on it have better pictures than I had.
Here is the site I used:

I Installed the vacuum one. The Audiovox. The hardest part is stripping the bike down. It works great. Surges a little bit on occasion, mostly slower speeds.
I put the unit in the tail, and the vacuum can along the side by the centerstand grab handle.

Sears has them, They are Diehard but made by yuasa ytx12bs

I had a friend make me a set of passenger highway pegs. The pic is not the greatest but you get the idea. They bolt on to the bottom of a set of remade front pegs. That way when you get to your destination you can remove them if you want.
