  1. Possiably, I will have to check the resovoir..
  2. I reciently took the Bird in to have the rear break shoes replaced and new tyers, I had waxed the chain and found it difficult to turn the the back wheel around. When the garage removed the rear wheel the bearings just fell out practically none existant and full of greece, this was replaced and new break shoes fitted. If I go for ride the performance is great, no problems with the bike rolling when the clutch is pulled in whilst riding at 40ish. But when I stop the bike appers to be hard to push foreward like the brakes are binding but if I leave it stood for a while the bike moves foreward and back with no problem.. Is this normal or is its due to the linked brakes or the new break shoes need to bed in..or am I gut being a plonker and finding something to worry about?
  3. no, the key just has to be in the "on" position... Then the left one is hour, and the right one is minute... unless you're talking about the digital clock on the digital dash, not the digital clock on the analog dash... Mike Digital clock on the analogue dash, I have been advised that the clock needs to be set to the correct time. Nowit has been suggested that the clock is in the 'setting mode' thats why it is going back to 01.00hrs am every thime I turn on/off the ignition. I have been told that I need to hold down both buttons at the same time to start the clock setting sequence... what you think?
  4. Is there a sequence to press the two buttons to set the correct time ?
  5. I will check that ....never thought of it
  6. I looked on the page and it said its the (The 1999-2000 (FI with Analogue clocks) models) my bike is the one with the digital clock, i presume this will make a difference with the loom.
  7. I checked the fuse and connections appear to be ok,i will check wether it reset when I press the starter button. Do you think a faulty or dying regulator/ rec could be causing this problem?v
  8. I have a 2000 w reg Bird and the clock on the dashboard isnt working correctly. When switch on the clock displays 01.00hrs AM and then whan the igniton is switched off the clock will reset to 01.00 again. I have been told on another site that the fault is caused by a faulty reg/rec, surely there would be more problkems like lights flashig, battery not charging etc. The bike runs excellent and starts first time. Any help would be appreciated!
