HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!! I just saw this post for the first time! You did all this from a chair?! There are guys who call themselves contractors around here who can't produce what you did with 3 guys working for them. My Dad I have built a couple of houses together mine is a 3,800sq ft Cape and his 6,000 sq ft monster contemporary in Jamestown I know just how much time and effort it takes and you should be incredibly proud!! Good luck with the rest of the project.

Damn!! A few months too late for me too. Instead of the C-14 I could have some $$$ left over for bars, a shield and bags. Black is my color too. Now I'm buying used body parts so I can have an extra set to paint black during the winter. Good luck hope it sells quickly.

I feel we both did pretty well in the deal, now there are 2 other sales coming together because of it. It's a win,win, and WIN all the way around. Mine was in good shape and had a bunch of extra parts and some upgrades but did have almost 10,000 more miles than the one you bought. I think you did fine with yours, it's not like you see lots of them available. Just 4 years ago when I bought mine there were a lot more around. After he took two road trips totalling 2400 miles I sold the White Tiger mural XX to new guy Unk Greg from OH today. Seems like he's really going to enjoy riding this in his corner of the world, lots of NICE roads! This is his second XX purchase in 3 months, I think he might be addicted! Keep the bird. The C-14 is a great bike. I picked one up in June and I love it BUT it is not the BB. @ $3800 you should just keep it in the garage. You will regret selling the BB. My bird hit the reserve today so with luck the sale should go through by the middle of next week. I'd like to know considering you have the ability to jump from the XX to the C-14 what can you tell me about the differences in power, comfort, weather protection etc. Did you remove the butterflies and have you made any mods? I would like to keep it but I need something more comfy for the wife and kids to ride on and I'm not ready for a Wing. Plus they don't split lanes too well. I put it on Ebay and it's bid up to $3,000 we'll see what happens in a few days.

Decided today to actively try and sell my 1997 XX. I really like the C-14 and would like to take the wife along more often so it's up for grabs. I didn't put the paint job on it and I know it's gay but it's easily covered or removed/replaced with another tank. I just couldn't bring myself to destroy someone elses labor. The bike has 43,356 miles on it and I ride it daily so there will be more when it sells. Just put on a new rear Strada 350 miles ago, the front has a couple thousand left in it. I changed the CCT at around 36,000 miles. New parts and additions are as follows. Akropovik Pipe 2 Brothers Countermeasure 2 oval can (black) Factory Jet kit K+N Filter HID high and low beams Euro Headlight switch Clear alternatives front turn signals Givi Screen Mototek tail section w/ led brake lights behind clear lenses Extra 900RR shock w/900# spring Solo seat cowl Black Fast bag (never used) in original condition R-1 R/R and New battery at 40,000 miles New at 43,000 miles Racetech springs SBC front brakes Rear Diablo Strada Factory rubber damped 17 tooth front sprocket Sunstar 45 tooth rear DID chain Oil and filter change There are some scratches along the right side of the upper fairing and front fender from a slow low side, absolutely no damage to anything other than the plastic. I have an extra rt. side panel freshly painted and a rear tail section with a crack near the forward lug mounting hole, also have stock lenses, headlight switch, R/R (fully functional) and center stand. I have the factory exhaust with a little bevel on the right can leading edge. The bike is on Craigs for $4,500 in RI just so I wouldn't have to deal with anyone who doesn't know what the bike is. I'm looking to get around $4000 with all the factory parts and would really just like to sell it all together. I'm not too good at posting pics but I'll give it a shot.
