I have an OEM seat covered with off-white genuine sheepskin. The original covering underneath the sheepskin is still on, and was 100% perfect.(when the upholsterer stapled over it) I paid $50 for the sheepskin in Wyoming, a couple of years ago, and $40 for the upholstere to staple it on. Make it $100 and you pay for shipping. I will have to ask my girlfriend to go to the UPS Store or US Post Office to ship it. I will still be laid up for 4 more weeks at home since my 65 + mph crash with a velvet racked whitetail buck on 7/6/09. Please PM me if interested. I also have some other Bird items that I will be getting rid of, but didn't want to post them till after I get out of the accute rehabilition center in about 2 months.

For sale: Browning 425 Sporting Clays, 12 gauge O/U, 28" bbls, Invector + choke tubes, ported, backbored, Grade III Wood, 3 Gold trigger shoes. I bought gun new, and it has been a "safe queen" for the last 5 years. Has approximately 5500 rounds fired. Gun is absolutely mint. $1500.

For Sale: Sako 75 Varmint chambered in .243 Win. It is all stainless steel, with a laminated stock, 23.6" fluted bbl (1 in 10" twist), drop out magazine, 30 mm Sako Optilok rings, and the adjustable Sako single SET trigger. (4 lbs down to 8 ozs.) It shoots sub M.O.A. at 100 yards with 90 grain Lapua Scenar bullets. I will give loading data, targets, and fired Lapua brass with gun. The rifle has less than 200 documented rounds down the bore. I paid $2000 for the weapon 3 years ago, (with the rings) and will sell for $1500. I have original box, manual, and bolt disassembly tool. I have no time to shoot ground-hogs anymore, so if you are looking for a great quality "Made in Finland" rifle to slay earth pigs out to 800 yards, this is your weapon. I will pay for shipping and insurance to your FFL.

Is the 1" RAM Ball, (used for this mounting job) part # RAM-B-337U ? This part # is a hole hex, 1/4"-20 female threaded, with the 1" ball. I just want to make sure I order the right ball to use this mounting set-up that you guys custom made. Thanks, G

Thank You for the info. I did a search on radar detectors and got some good info, especially on mounts. Does anyone have any personal experience with the TPX "motorcycle specific" brand of RD's ?

I would like to purchase a good quality radar detector for my Bird, and need some type of mount. Or, is it OK to velcro the detector to the top of the dash? Any recomendations? And should it be wired directly to the battery, or should I also purchase a cigar lighter type socket? (preferably the one with a waterproof cap) Also, where might be the best place to buy these items on line? Thank You, G

Which of these brands of ALUMINUM cans (for a fuel injected Bird) would you rate as the best fitting, and best quality ? Also, does one brand produce more torque than any of the others ? Akrapovic Jardine Leo Vince Two Brothers Yoshimura

I would like to put a pair of slip ons on my Bird. I would like some suggestions from some of you all that have aftermarket cans. First let me say that I am keeping my OEM panniers on the bike, so mounting, and clearance may be an issue. Second, I don't want to have to remap my fuel injection. Third, I would like something that is lighter than the OEM cans, with a throaty sound, but not loud. Fourth, I kinda like the idea of the Scorpion, and Blue Flames, that have the stainless steel strand internal packing, that never needs repacking. Fifth, I was considering carbon fiber or titanium, but you really won't see them because of the panniers, so should I go with aluminum? Is there anything wrong with aluminum cans? So many options!

AFAIK, all Kushitani leather is taken from Kushitani-owned, -raised, -fed, and -processed Holstein in Japan -- not sure what you're saying is made in China, but it's not the leather. All I meant was, the new Kushitani's are sewn together in China. I don't know if the Chinese use the same stitching/thread as the Japanese. I was told by Alex at Kushitani USA (California) that the made in China leathers don't have the K-Foam armor like the made in Japan ones do.

For sale: Brand new mens Kushitani black leather perforated jacket. Size XXL. Has the K-Foam armor in the elbows and shoulders, removable foam back protector, and Zylon material on the inner sleeve. I bought it sight unseen and it doesn't fit me. (Its too small. I have a 40" waist/48" chest, 5' 11" tall/ 225 lbs.) I can't return it. It is a leftover model, but is 100% brand new. There are absolutely no flaws, rips, tears, scratches or blemishes of any kind. All zippers work perfectly. It is made in Japan, not like the new models which are made in China. New models are priced at $600 and up. This model sold for $800 new, I paid $350. I would like to get my money back. PM me if intested...

No offense, but according to the Honda UK site, your bags need to be reversed. I have never tried to lock my OEM panniers the way you have yours, but if you like them that way, then so be it.

The OEM bags are not an option here, (U.S.A,), but can be aquired through Sport Touring Accessories. At $895, including all hardware, color matched, & 4 keys, I don't think they are expensive at all. New Corbin Beetle bags are over $1000, can't hold a full face helmet, and aren't genuine Honda. Yes, I know the Honda panniers are made by Givi. I personally didn't care for the look of the Givi's, but the different size options gives you choices. I guess it boils down to what you like.
