I have additional photos on file. PM me if interested. I can forward pics and Eli's ph# upon request. vertical tipover scratches left side. Like all XX's posted here for sale, the owner would like to sell complete. Eli has all of the stock parts for replacement. Let's give him a chance to sell it before we swarm all over his extras. Once again, PM me for Eli's phone # Eli sold the Beetle Bags and the Smuggler. $4300 new price for all Cal
  10. My friend Ely, sends his THANKS for the help. He did all that was suggested with the Wax unit and clean/lube linkage. The final detail that made it work properly was the adjustment of the linkage. It turns out that even thought the wax unit would expand properly, it would move it "off" high idle too soon. ( I think I'm reporting this correctly? ) He said the high idle is all the way off @ 140 degrees. It was all off about 100 degrees. MUCH BETTER now. Ely and myself also sends thanks to Johns Bike Bits for the speedy delivery of the CCT's (2) (one for me one for Ely) Thanks Guys. Cal
  11. You keep hoping? You knew the tires are no-good. You just came into the Garage whoring for some ass huh?
  12. Phillip, a rusty trombone is a bigger worry.
  13. Once warm, it idles @ 1100. I don't know what a "wax element is" Where is it located? I love my 98 carbs. LOL
  14. His 2001 XX starts and idles high @ cold. When the temp gauge begins to show 100 degrees, it falls "off" the high idle and then dies. When it's up to temp, all is fine. What gives?
  15. That's a good deal. It's got alot of goodies. If I show up on my 954, can I help Rich install the lowering link? LOL
  16. I wonder who had the best offer? Never heard. Doug did you buy it? Dave, I wish you luck overseas. Keep your head low. Cal

  21. Jim, last June, I finally replaced my OEM battery (98XX). I also replaced my failed R/R with an R1 R/R and Mikes loom kit. I replaced the OEM 12AH battery with a 14AH battery, It's 5/8 of an inch taller. No problems with clearance with my Corbin seat. Cranks the starter very well in the cold. my .02 Cal
