  1. I never had the chance to meet AirborneXX. I heard that Brett was a hellava guy. I thought about your National Match M1a. The Wilson won. Already have a Scout with NM trigger, sights and Smith flash hider. Love that gun! If I had to sell, it could be the last rifle to go. Check will mail Monday. Cal
  2. FWIW, I see I am now 400+ PM's over my limit since the "new server" took over limiting me to 500 PM's. Some of these PM's go back along time. I need to read them again. Memories of Mac & Jerry, XX meets and personal advise. Some with valuable info related to bikes and guns. I simply can't let them go with one "click" of delete. Please use my Comcast.net addy for further communication.
  3. I apologize for the delayed response. 12 hour days kicks my ass and by the time I get home, about all I can do is feed my ass and hope to get some laundry done. I sent you a PM with all you need for this transaction. Name, ph#, E-mail addy and naked photos. FFL addy and ph# and website link included for your FFL to confirm. Please confirm the PM was accepted. Thanks. Please use my e-mail address @ comcast for any further communication. Sorry, I don't have time to clear my mailbox here. Thanks, Cal Christensen
  4. Have you shipped a firearm before? I have made the expensive mistake of shipping UPS. They require a handgun to be shipped next day delivery. I found out that my local ffl guy gets a huge break shipping firearms. Could have saved me 50%. FWIW, I paid $78 to ship 2 CZ'S. OR to AZ.
  5. I'll be home soon. Will clean the mailbox. Getting excited! Always wanted a Wilson.
  6. Good to see you posting again. This would be easier if you listed a price. I'm going to send you an offer for the Wilson. Naturally,I hope to get the deal of the century without insulting you. Just saying. Cal
  7. Bill, I looked real hard at Pat's XX. I think you got a hellva good bike. Glad you bought it. I know you were looking. ...
  8. Elliot, I'm back from Holiday. Shipping funds have been PP. Check your account. Pack them well my friend. Sorry Mikey. The XX's need plastic. Thanks, Cal
  9. Will a Commander/Officers model stay in the holster well? Must it be a full frame 5 inch?
  10. I have some CBX specialty tools if your are interested?
  11. Elliot, PP funds sent. Let me know about the shipping $$. Thanks, Cal
  12. Is that a 79 CBX in the background?
  13. Eric, last month I replaced the stator and reg on my #2 - 98XX. I bought Ricks Motorsports also. I bought what they call the OEM set since I don't have any add ons that need the higher wattage/extra current. It measures 14.3 volts @ 5000rpm also. I could see the regulator switch reducing voltage to 13.3v. At idle, it would it measured 12.4 When the R/R failed on my #1 XX about three years ago,, I replaced it with a 99 R-1 regulator and it has been working well. I had two DC amprobes at the time and watched the positive charge / negative current shunted to ground since there were so many reports of connector heat failure at the negative pin on the 97-98 XX. (my connector was darkened also) Measured 19 amps of current shunted @ high rpm. I think that is too much for the single conductor path (can't remember the wire size). I think they added another wire in 99? not sure. I have about 1K miles on the #2 XX Stator/RR replacement now and I'm riding all of Washington next week with the Northwest crowd. It should be fine.
  14. yeah, same here. Somebody needs to buy this gem. This would be worth selling my own XX or 954 to offset the cost.
  15. Thanks for the fairing set photos. I'll take them. PM sent for payment directions and shipping address/instructions. Thanks Cal
  16. Interested in the full set of plastics. PM sent.
  17. FWIW, disconnect the R/R and try it again. When the R/R shorted on my 98xx it blew several 30A main fusses before I found it. The R/R had a small burnt hole it showing what happened. Try it?
  18. Nice job on the aluminum Eric. That should pull the heat out of it.
  19. Yeah, I was there also. Many hands to pull the RedXX up the bank. Glad you were ok Tim.
  20. Good meeting you. We should go for a ride.
