  1. Let me know if this looks to be a good price for this. Here is the link for the bike. http://www.trader.ca/powerpage/details.asp...mp;adid=6985151 2001 red Blackbird with 29000 kms 2 owners just dropped the price to $4999 CND New rear tire, all stock Previous owner removed the center stand. Someone dropped it while sitting on it in the parking lot at the dealer. Shoelace got stuck on peg..... Damage is minimal. Light scratch on side of mirror, upper fairing and pipe. Really not that noticeable. Now the paint... Seems to be very light fading on either side of the mirrors, the rear tail and handle right on the tips. The silver paint is starting to show through the red candy color. I was told they spray silver under the red to get the shimmer.? THXS

    Blown Fuse

If it was a starter fuse (fuse between the switch and relay??), it only gets used when you're running the starter motor, so it could've been blown for the whole ride into work and you wouldn't have known it... I say, if it blows again, check into it, and if it doesn't, it was probably just a fluke... Mike Thanks ... I have a couple of spares in the tool kit now ... I just dont wanna be 200 - 300 miles out like I was on Sunday and have it go dead on me if I can help it. Damn Honda's this should be a recall defect .... I wonder if Waranty will cover this Ya know... THere should be a spare 30 amp fuse below the actual connection... Mine has one there. It's actuall attached to it right under it.
  3. That totally makes sense now. Thanks!!! I kept thinking that the canister would be pressurized and not decopressed. lol
  4. The same the check valve does on your brake booster (and the cruise control on older cars)... Your engine makes the most vacuum at idle, so at idle, it makes an almost perfect vacuum in the vacuum canister, so that there is more "power" to actuate the throttle when you're at cruise... BTW, ever have a check valve go out on a brake booster? It's REALLY cool! when you go directly from the gas to the brake, you have basically manual brakes until the engine goes back down to idle, then you get full brakes again... really neat huh? This is really only an issue with automatics, BTW... you have a VERY high vacuum when you just close the throttle while you're in gear on a manual... Mike umm.. What would change if I didn't use the check valve then?
  5. I just finished installing my Audiovox cruise control on my BB and I have a question about the vacuum canister I made. They say to use a check valve between it and the engine. I don't see the point because a check valve allows air only one way and not the other, so it's not holding anything in the canister when there is no vacuum because the vacuum sucks air out of the canister through the check valve and when there isn't any, air just leaks out back through the check valve in the same direction as the vacuum pulls. So what does it do?? Alain
