Did anyone ever figure this out? Sounds like something I might be interested in.

I just got off my bike and notice the tail. There are vents on each side of the seat in the rear fairing. I don't think they have a purpose. I'll look closer. They could, however, be covered in yellow plastic to become turn signals. This would allow me to remove the tag and turn signal assembly and make the rear more streamlined. I would have to mount the tag somewhere, but that shouldn't be a problem. Has anyone seen something like this before? Tips? David.
