Sorry, forgot to include that info, and I've updated the initial post. The springs in this AK-20 kit are 1.0 which is the recommended setup for a 185lb rider (like me) and will generally accommodate riders between 175-190lbs. Traxxion Dynamics really stands behind their products and readily provide parts and service. If you need different springs, springs are $55 each, and they commonly change a single spring to get incremental overall spring rates, or can provide 2 different springs to get a more exact setting for a given rider. Traxxion Dynamics says that the AK-20 kits virtually never wear out (and this AK-20 kit is brand new), but if needed, they will rebuild the cartridges for between $75 to $100.

Good eye! The only mishap I had with this Blackbird was a run-in with a crazy dog. I was riding along with 2 buddies on a 2 lane highway at about 60mph (I was second in line), when a crazy dog bolted at us from the right (trying to bite the bikes?), missing the first bike and hitting the Blackbird on the right fairing lower causing some damage to it. I replaced the right fairing lower, but never did re-install that bolt and forgot about it until now, as the fairing lower is solid even without that bolt installed. Thanks!

Tim, why would he have been lucky not to win the auction? I assume because he could have got the map he needed for free, or is there something else, since I think I am the one that won the auction he is talking about. I did not pay the additional $50 for the loaded map So you're the one who took that eBay auction! What's the name/website of that motorcycle shop in Florida (IIRC)? They said they had actually dyno'd a 2002 Blackbird with the K&N air filter and the Jardine RT-1 exhaust, and would load that map for my for $50. Now whether that's true/accurate or not is a different question... Thanks!

I have a 2003 Blackbird and just bought a PCIII (serial cable version) and was looking to get a map for the bike, which is stock except for K&N air filter and Jardine RT-1 slip-on exhaust. I almost bought the PCIII USB on eBay, and the seller (a bike shop in Florida) said they had just the map I wanted and would load it for $50, but I didn't win the auction and lost track of the seller. Anyway, where might I find a PCIII map for an '03 Blackbird with K&N air filter and Jardine RT-1 exhaust? Thanks!
