  1. YES it will. Mate of mine changed a 98 bike to an 04 tail light. All he needed was the undercowl(mudguard) and the light for the change. The rear cowl was a perfect fit around the light and 04 mudguard.
  2. This is why I am so glad that the UK spec bikes come with a light switch on the right hand bar. Start the bike up, let it settle (mine is a 97 carb model), switch on the lights. Never had any problems with my HID lights.
  3. The position of the ring is not what you need to be taking note of. The rear end should be set by "rider sag" - IE How much the bike sags from a fully extended shock. General recommendation is around 35 to 40mm of sag at the rear. Method - 1. Put bike on centre stand and measure from rear wheel axle vertically up to a fixed point on the frame / bodywork. 2. Put the bike back on it's wheels and sit on it in normal riding position ( near a wall so you can hold on for balance) and get a friend to measure between the same two points. long measurement minus short measurement is the "Rider Sag"
  4. As XXTi has suggested - first thing is to adjust the pre-load until you have the correct sag for your weight ( regardles of OEM or aftermartet suspension ) I personally prefer 5mm more sag at the front compared with the back and am currently at 40mm front and 35mm rear. If after you have set rider sag - the bike only sag is close to zero - I would suggest that your springs are too soft for your weight.
