  1. I have a complete set of Givo luggage for this rack. Two side bags and a large top trunk. They are in pristine conditon with monokeys. Let me know if anyone is interested. I will let theme go fairly cheap. They area bright red that matched my 1991 cbr 1000F. Duane 772-341-4882
  2. FYI, I have lost 3 rectifiers over the last 14 years that I have owned 97-98 Blackbirds. The cause of the loss was battery issues, not charging regularly. I recommend a battery tender all the time, if you can. However, I run a fuel pump on a 98 carbed bird. I have now installed the latest and greatest heavy duty rectifier, seems to be much better than stock, which was never designed to run an electric fuel pump. If you cant' charge it on the bike, take it out and charge it. Probable takes about 2 minutes. Hope this helps.
  3. Just found the dyno sheets from some of the original tests. Turbobird_Dyno_1.pdf Turbobird_Dyno_2.pdf
  4. Take a look at my last post under Turbo Kits for Blackbird. Contact me for any info if you wish. Nothing built today even compares, as of yet.
  5. Wow, I have been away from here for quit a while and just ran into this thread. I have had my Turbobird together for almost 13 years and still absolutely love it!!! I will try to upload a few pics. I used an American Turbo Systems kit with an Aerocharger turbo. It has selectable low and high boost. I have dyno tested it many times and the best produced over 260 bhp, at the rear tire and a staggering 160 lb/ft of torque. It is intercooled and is completely hidden. Driveability is just beauteful, and performance is just rediculous. The last time I played with a turbo Busa on the interstate, from 70, I drove away, while he was spinning tire. He eventually drove by me when I rolled out Wayyyyyy up in the triply digits. The wheel base is stock, as is the entire motorcycle. Only changes were a 40mm Cometic head gasket and an 18 tooth primary gear. That was it. I used the stock fairings with VERY littly modification. The only noticable feature is the bottom of the turbo air intake protrudes through the lower fairing. To the trained eye, you can spot the intercooler behind the fromt wheel. Just thought maybe some of you guys and gals may be interested.
  6. Who on the board has one. What system are ya running and what kind of horsepower and torque figures have you seen and on what dyno?
