  1. I sold my 99 XX to buy a Warrior. Warrior was gone in less than a year. Nuff said??? Raider is a cool bike though. Good luck
  2. Yup..thats what they are referring to. Every jet kit is different though. Some may require it, some dont. When I put a jet kit in my uncles quad, they actually had you drill a second hole in the bottom of the slide.
  3. Just going by what the book says. I have no idea myself. Its definatly not impossible with the sticks..just more of a hassle compared to good quality gauges
  4. I have this one. Quality piece. As a matter of fact I just synced my TB's on my VFR with it. Absolutly zero needle bounce. Adjustable needle valves work flawlessly. Easy to read. I forget on the XX, but the VFR requires cylinders 1 and 2 to be the same, 3 20mm/hg less and 4 10 mm/hg less. Very easy to do with this tool. It would be impossible to do with mercury sticks.
  5. Rode my buddies 08 for the first time the other day. Power is ungodly. Suspension is awesome, sits pretty comfy and seems to not buzz as much as the older model. And for the first time in a while, I agree with Barry... There actually is a point where the is just too much. For me anyway. One of the main reasons I sold my XX for a VFR was that I never even came close to the XX's potential. Rarely exceeded 130 mph and shifted most of the time @ 6000 rpm. Its much more entertaining to ride a lesser bike closer to its limit. If that makes any sense. Anybody who has rode an SV 650 will know what I mean. The VFR is down on power to pretty much anything 600cc and over nowadays, but its a blast to ride. Congrats on the Busa...Its fuggin sick!!!
  6. Were they the ones you were expecting?? I know dickshit about them. Best pair of glasses I own are like $7.00. Money better be there or Ill send chickens!!!!!!!!!
  7. WTF is wrong with you guys???... :icon_think: Wait dont answer that.. PM at ya Jen
  8. Nah..Old hat. Sold in 35 minutes. Gotta be a record
  9. Oh shit..I forgot all about Jen. (No wonder..she never calls or e-mails me anymore...).. Theyre yours if you want em. Send money or hookers and beer
  10. I won a pair in a golf tournament raffle yesterday, but Ill never wear them. Theyre those big Tom Cruise, Top Gun aviator type jammies. Sticker says $135.00. If I keep em theyll end up busted or lost somewhere. Ray Ban # is RB3025. They have gold frames with G-15 lenses. Not sure the tint color but pretty dark. They are 100% brand new, never worn and still in box. See a few authentic ones on Egay for like $50-$90 with buy it now's like $119. Im thinking like $75.00?? May appeal to you older snooty pricks here...Any takers??
  11. +1 to Hondas rear sprockets!!! Them things are made out of plutonium! And also +1 to going with the OEM front sprocket. Cost is more but the reduction in noise is huge. Well worth in extra $. When I bought my VFR the chain was BAKED!! Dry as a bone, no adjustment left and could pull it off the rear sprcket like 1/2 inch!! (17000 miles) I replaced the chain and the front sprocket. The rear had no perceivable wear. Even the front looked decent, but the rubber part was well worn in.
  12. Ive got a 16 tooth front if you want it. Maybe 50 miles on it.
  13. Well like I said I wasnt sure if I just got a "good one" or not. After 2 Blackbirds, @ 40000 miles between them, and probably 6 tensioners, That one was the quietest.
  14. Before you go through the hassle, try one more...This worked for me. Maybe a fluke, but worth one more try... Everybody orders the the lifter set..which is part #..06140-MAT-315. This comes as a kit with the gasket and washers. If you look in the DEALER fiche..it says that this set is for 98, 99, and 00 XX's. I ordered part #...14520-MAT-E21 which says its for 01, 02, and 03 XX's. It comes with only the tensioner.I installed this one, rode it for 8000 miles with no rattling. Worth a try...

  16. Im glad you like it. Its a fantastic bike. I hope you washed that seat off good. If you havent developed a "burning sensation" yet, your probably out of the woods. CONGRATS again.
  17. Maybe I will. Now I can beat on it seeing how its not mine.
  18. So says 6ft 4in , 330 pound keg of dynamite with a 4 inch fuse. 4 inches? did he get it lengthened? Now thats funny
  19. Man..I cant start a thread without it ending with my sexual prowess. I forgot to tell Jen that I accepted ALL forms of payment. . Maybe next time. Im replying to PM's now....
