  1. I've run both. No noticeable difference.
  2. Up over the rad, inside the frame. I think.
  3. I think the simple fact that it's a Honda of CBR lineage would indicate the CCT as a weak spot. :icon_doh:
  4. He's right that it is glued and meant to be replaced as a whole, but maybe a gentle application of heat from a heat gun may soften that stuff up? Your "bro", Peeps
  5. Childish man, very childish. It goes to show ....you've got a myspace account. Nice .... Is that all you've got? Please. You'll notice I didn't say anything about where you're from, the bike you don't own or the girl who's on it that isn't yours. Doing that would be generalizing and I don't want to stoop.
  6. It was meant as a bit of a joke. Whatever you say, "bro."
  7. Why? Because a fool and his money are soon parted. Go ride. And then learn to do your own maintenance.
  8. I think you can grind down a socket to make the little 4-prong thingy you'll need? Paging Red J to the white courtesy phone...
  9. Right: 32721458396 Left: 32721458395 I get all my stuff from BMW of Denver (Karson in parts is THE MAN) but any BMW shop should have them or be able to get them.
  10. Good point, I mostly agree with. I had seen the 2x4 trick, and one suggesting that a bolt be used to pivot it off studs in a garage that isn't sheetrocked. Main reason I went the middle route with the Aerostich bead breaker (on top of my 14" car wheel changing station with washing machine drain hose scratch padding) was anticipation of many tire changes with the new Carozzerria wheels I'm afraid of scratching up. Turns out they're easier to spoon tires onto than the stock wheels on either my XXs or FJR. The NoMar sure looked good, but was too much money for my budget. :icon_wave: Say J, didja let the air out first? HAHAHAHAHAHA!
  11. How much bread you got in that damn thing? I got about $20 in tire irons and 2x4s.
  12. Fuckin' A, man. I couldn't bust mine on the new fancy-dandy tire changer, but Matey's solution worked fine. I'm doing this every time, now. If you got a spare bike, sidestand on it will work, too.
  13. I don't think so. This does not sound like Johnny Monsoon. Good point.
  14. With the wingrack I couldn't use the helmet lock under the seat so I got one of those combination cable locks guys use to secure their snowboards and such, and strung it thru the wingrack.
  15. Yeah, they are probably expensive. Amazingly enough, they are not! This last set I picked up for my FJR was like $13/pair. Though I suspect they are the only reasonably priced BMW part ever made. 2 o-rings and the oil filler cap seat were only $5. I was surprised.
  16. Very popular overseas. We sell their industrial chain for combines and shit where I work. Just be sure to get the one with the proper load rating.
  17. Come on up to my hizzie, I'll slap yer tires on for ya.
  18. ProGrip 699 classic gel grips are my fave, even tho I have to make do with the BMW grips.
  19. Steel fixture on an aluminum casting. Not a good idea.
  20. My 99 would do that. High idle, then once warmed up a bit it'd idle real low, then idle normally once a bit warmer. Never affected anything so I never worried about it. Just one of those things I guess.
  21. +1. I've never understood why everybody bitches about it; I never noticed. I noticed the trans whine over anything.
  22. JT makes one. Of course it's not going to have the damper blah blah blah. Any dealer who sells out of the Tucker Rocky or Parts Unlimited catalogs will be able to get you one. They're about $20.
  23. 1st or 2nd gen. 900RR, ya? I think... Of course I could be talking directly out of my ass here.
