    $50.00 Avons ?

I got a pair of Avon 49/50's for $50.00 a piece if I write a review of how they perform. This guy somehow gets a phenominal deal on them and wants to sell a lot of them as regular every day tires. They are listed as rain track tires but he claims they'll get the same mileage as the st avons and handle just as well. The tread design is not what is shown on Avon's web site. Anyone going to Rednexxt can take a gander at them. I'll post pics later this week. Has anyone else tried these? I have two sets because I had purchased another set before getting this deal, I just hadn't put them on yet. Brandon
  2. I have a PCIII with 4-1 yosh and I don't see below 40mpg on hwy. I don't know how its mapped though. Brandon
  3. Thanks for the advice. Bad ground and battery. Battery won't take a charge anymore. Traded 4 used misc. batteries for a new one at the local repair shop. Replaced ground wire and the bike runs like new. Yes. Barring my wife divorcing me. I plan on going to NeXXT.
  4. Well I do live in the Humidity capital of the country so I wouldn't be surprised to find corrosion. I hope that corroded wires or a battery is the answer. Brandon

    XX Fuel Mileage

I have a 4-1 yosh exhaust and a PCIII that were on the 03 when purchased. I ride 30 miles to work and since I do the Taxidermy work for most of the cops in the area and my wife is related to the rest I run triple digits alot of the way. Unfortunatley there are only 3 turns in that stretch and one is a 90 banked turn that you can hit at 125+ so I'm not on again off again with the throttle. I rarely see below 40 MPG and hit 185-200 miles with 1-2 bars left on the gauge. If I hit the twisties further south I see 175-185 before the last bar starts flashing. It usually takes 4.2-4.4 gallons to fill her back up. I have no idea how the PCIII is mapped but will be getting it dynoed soon. Brandon
  6. Thanks for the direction. I'll let you know what I find. Brandon
  7. I was reading the ealier post concerning the carbed bird that died and I will check all of those items listed when I get home, but I will explain what happened to mine in case anyone has anymore input for the fuel injected models. I have an 03 bird and it was hesitating on the way to work. It occured sporatically not at any particular RPM. On the way home from work the bike was running great for about 5 minutes then the FI light flickered on and off and the bike started dieing. The engine didn't rev but the rpm gauge would spike up and down while the FI light flickered. Then the bike would run fine for a mile or so and repeat. Finally it totally died. It started back up right away and the rest of the way home (20 miles) it had minor hesitations here and there and the FI light only came on once, but whenever I was coming to a stop the lights dimmed dramatically making me think its an electrical problem. I didn't get home until 1:00am so I didn't look her over last night. I figured all of you geniuses on the board could save me time and point me in the right direction. This board rules by the way! Thanks, Brandon
