The rotors look better as a complete set front and rear. Randy what rims do you have on the bike? How much, and how much weight savings? Do you have a better picture? Is there a down side to having them, they look cool. Thanks, Techoss

  3. Hi Jeff are you able to furnish any pictures? Is your bike a carb of FI model? I haven't installed mine yet. Thanks, Texhoss
  4. Dion, that sure is a nice rigged ST1100. I still would like to have one for a second bike some day! Texhoss
  5. The threads must be stripped, are the threads in the ring or in the weight, in the bar? Texhoss
  6. I was hoping for a less expensive fix. Thanks for the idea though. I have the helmet lock under the seat. Texhoss
  7. I have lost one lt. bar end weight during transport. the replacement has kept becoming unscrewed, and now will now tighten. the standoff is a little more that 1/16". I have never worked on one, any ideas on the fix? Thanks, Texhoss
  8. I was wanting some help on a fuse panel for up to 6 farkles and a main fuse. I want to turn power off with the key. I want to install a Audiovox Cruise Control, XM Radio, Radar Detector, GPS, Air Horn. What is the best electrical, connecters BMW plugs? Any of you who have done this or are knowledgeable please give me some ideas. Thanks, Texhoss
  9. Old bike did the same thing. It was a bad front tire. It was a new tire that the dealership mounted and balanced! Texhoss
  10. My 03 was acting like yours. The bike new sat in a crate for 2 years, and only had 3700 miles on it with one year in service. I didn't trust the battery. I bought a new battery the problem was solved. Texhoss
  11. Mike, you got a great buy on the bike! How much does the Amsoil cost a quart. Are you going to change the next 2 changes at 3000 miles. What do you think the higher copper content is from? The thought of leaving any oil in for 9000 miles, is new to me. I don't know that much of the Amsoil Oil products. What little I have heard is good. What did it cost to have the oil analized(SP) ? Texhoss
  12. Mike is the oil pick up line for oil in the pan in the front or rear of the oil pan? That could cause less oil for the engine with long wheelies. I think GSXers can have that problem. I don't know about our birds? Texhoss
  13. Mike , I was thinking that the Birds had a tipover shutdown on the motor, after a certain angle on the bike with a rider going down. I was thinking they were set up like the ST 1100. I could have this wrong. Thanks, Texhoss
  14. I want to thank you folks for your answers. This Forum is the best! Texhoss
  15. I keep hearing that bikes shift better after switching to syn. oil. The bike has Honda oil and has about 1250 miles on this change. This started making noise and shifting harder about 200 miles ago. Should I stay with dyno oil or go to syn. oil? Thanks, Texhoss
  16. The bike is still hard to shift into 1st after it warm up. Texhoss
  17. J Red it gets quiet when you pull the clutch in. Is it air in the clutch hydraulic line? You and Obby are smart cookies. Please help with ideas on how to make this problem go away. After starting and holding the clutch in it is getting hard to go into first. Release the clutch and then pull it in again it shifts to first. WTF !! Thanks, Texhoss
  18. J Red, I don't know, the clutch seems out of adjustment. It engages the the last less than 1 inch of the lever release. Please tell me more. You might have something there. The noise is from the top of the heads, it sounds like. Would that be the clutch? Question question?? Thanks Texhoss
  19. On the first start up for the day, the top end of the motor, makes lots of noise. A slight twist of the throttle seem to quiet it down. Is this grinding anything to worry about? My bike is a 2003 with 4850 miles on it. I think it is the CCT. The oil changes are up to date. Thanks, for any info you might come up with. Texhoss
