  1. Well i looked at the 20 pin connector and it has no corrosion whatsoever, now the temp gauge goes to 132 without even starting the bike so methinks either a faulty temp sensor and/or faulty wiring or the instrument cluster has some corrosion on it, anyway, it is going back to shop this week under warranty, they can check it out, just hoped it might be something i could do before taking that step but with an endless variety of possible solutions i think its the best bet. Thanks anyway.
  2. Hi all, I am new to this site and was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem i have. I have not long bought a '03 BB and all has been great until one hot Autumn day a few weeks ago. The problem began after a long ride out, the temp had reached 109 degreees after this ride and after a coffee we went to resume another journey but when i started bike and rode off as soon as i applied the brakes the engine cut out. Now i have been through most of the forums looking for a fix, have no FI error codes stored and have reset the ECM anyway according to the manual. Now it seems the problem is getting worse, typical symptoms are: if I use indicators engine cuts out after a few seconds and indies flash at the same time furiously, if i switch the lights on with engine idling FI light comes on, engine cuts out immediately, both brakes cut engine out and FI lights, i did a reset on ECM yesterday and bike ran fine in idle with no apparent problems so i thought i had cured it. I then stopped engine and re-started it, same problems back again and this time i notice that the temp gauge goes from around 70 to 132 within a minute or less and starts flashing and engine sounds like it is only running on one cylinder. No apparent problems with coolant or rad cap, temp reading is false. Does anyone have any ideas at all as i would like to fix this problem and get my bike back again. Please help if you can Regards, Mark.
