  1. I checked all 3 sets of brake pads and the back and front-right need to be replaced! The inner pads were worse and worn past the grooves. What is really confusing is the the front-right inner brake was worn away at such an angle that one end still showed the groove. So much for my brakes just rubbing slightly. Looking at others posts, stock brakes are supposed to last 10 - 12 K miles, if not more. My assumption is that when you apply pressure to the brake, it pressurizes the hydraulic braking system which clamps down the brake pads on the rotors. When you release the pressure, the system should retract the pads, but what device controls that retraction? There has got to be something that can be adjusted. Could a pinched brake line do this? Anyone have this problem before?
  2. Thanks for the feedback. 4500 miles, original brakes. I've always noticed it a little, but lately it has been really bothering me. Good idea on pulling the brake pads and checking for grit. I'll definitely give that a try. When done, I guess I could also put some WD-40 on the pad so it glides smoother. I hear it works wonders. Thanks, Fly By
  3. Is it normal for the brakes to rub on the Bird? I can hear the back brake clearly rubbing at about 10 mph. Can this be adjusted? I didn't see anything in the manual, but then again, I might have missed something. Any advice would be appreciated?
  4. They've got a website that describes their products. Draggin Jeans.com Thanks for the tip on the Kevlar. To be honest, I wasn't aware of the abrasion resistance issue. Secondly, the shirt just tucks in like a normal T-shirt so it curling up on a back slide is still a risk. The arms have velcro at the wrists and they have extra material on the elbows and shoulders. Those are really the only visual difference between it and a regular long sleeve shirt. Two very good points. I definitely would not recommend this for a track day. For me, it's just another level of security under the jacket I already have for cruising around. And I probably wouldn't ride with just the shirt unless it was a really warm day. Just like the draggin jeans are supposedly better than jeans in a slide, the shirt is better than a T-shirt. But nothing beats leather.
  5. Ordered and received my draggin jeans t-shirt, the yellow one, about 3 days and have been on a couple of rides. First off, the shirt was at my door in two days with no problems and emails let me know it was on its way. The fit is good and it is like no other shirt I have. It feels like a really light sweater, but is porous enough that you don't get warm when moving. I don't recommend it for a ride without some type of coat under 65 deg. F. The air goes right through it. It's good for layering though. For those used to armor, it's hard to believe this stuff protects, but made out of Kevlar, it should work. I just hope to never find out. My main reason for getting it is due to having a coat that I don't think is durable enough for a good slide. By wearing this underneath it, my worries about the coat being peeled away diminish. Seems like a good company with a good product. I would do business with them again. Fly By
  6. Just received my Sonic Air pants and they're fantastic. It's nice to get good quality at a good price. In addition, their response time and tracking emails never left me a doubt that it was on it's way. I would definitely recommend these guys and most certainly would do business with them again. 7. 215 mph. That's nothing. On the track the other day, I got my bike up to 300 mph!!! And I know its true because that's what the Indy car driver said after he towed my ass around the track.
  8. Oh My God, this ISN'T what I think it is!!!! I do NOT thank you!!! You are NOT a God!!!
