  1. On my 03 I noticed the ground wires at the left rear of the gas tank turning green so I snipped of the connectors and soldered on a short wire and new connectors. I wouldn't have thought those wires would corrode that bad in two years, always garaged.

  2. A beautiful girl is lying on a gurney in a hospital, about to undergo a minor surgery.

She is wheeled into the corridor by a nurse, then left alone.

While the nurse is away, a young man in a white coat approaches the girl, takes the sheets away and starts examining her naked body.

He walks away and talks to another guy in a white coat. The second man comes over and starts examining her.

When a third man begins to examine her body, the girl begins to grow impatient.

"All of this examining is great, you guys are really thorough", she says. "But when will I be having my operation?"

The first man shrugs his shoulders. "Beats me, we're just painting the hall".

  3. Never assume anything. Always check yourself. If the engine had failed the dealer would have sworn that they checked everything. You should go over that bike with a fine tooth comb. Check all fluids, chain alignment and tire pressure.

  4. That would depend on how much metal your talking about and where it was. Sometimes small particles can be found in the filter on the first oil change but none should be in the oil as you drain it from the engine. Are you sure the container you drained your oil into was clean before you started?

  5. As to the oil filter leaving the o-ring on the engine, that happens a lot on cars and bikes. You should always wipe the area the filter contacts with a clean rag to remove any dirt and that will also eliminate leaving the old o-ring there. And, you don't need to remove any plastic to change the filter.

  6. I don't. I replaced my front with a solid steel aftermarket but would swap it out again (with 16 dampened) if I could get that info. I've asked on a couple of CBR-RR forums for someone to mike a OEM from one of there bikes with no responce. I thought someone would have a sprocket that they replaced sitting around under a bench or something that could measure.

  7. If you were to use an RC51 sprocket the chain alignment would definitely be off. The center of the front sprocket would be 1 to 1.5 mm outward of aligning with the rear. And the washer that holds the sprocket on is also a spring and it could not do its job of holding a certain pressure that allows the float.
