I will say that AAA dispatch has been fucked up a few times, and some of their contractors are fucking 'tards, but it's usually good.

My neighbor work as a flat bed driver for AAA.  Wouldn't want him touching my car.

I’ve not seen a AAA office in ages, and as often as I’ve needed roadside assistance, they would have to be more prompt to justify the $$$.  Around here, that’s not the case.

Me either.  There was one here about 30 years ago but no more.

  2. Stairs.  In the last week or so I did a bunch of work on the main floor including trim and every cut was down downstairs.  So it was get up off the floor, go down the stairs, cut, go upstairs times 100 plus.

In your post was it just being lazy or a work/reward ratio thing?

I took the kids car down to the shop. They had made an appointment with him to replace the front sway bar.

This is why I try to work on everything myself, well this and money.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it, drive it.  After a few weeks it will be forgotten about.

I fought weight and lost all my life. I have one lean son and one cubby son. My (youngest) chubby son works out 2 hours 5x a week. He works as a package handler in a warehouse 5 hours a day. He likes vegetables and meat. He was a chubby todler. We don't have lots of junk food in our home. He is about 150 lbs overweight. I am gently trying to direct him to trying Zep before he ends up diabetic like I did at 30. He is a decade away.

It is interesting and I do believe that body chemistry can effect physical health just like it can mental health.  I wonder what the percentage of Americans this actually applies to?  For most it's calories in vs calories burnt but some do seem to burn it easier.

I bought the screws because I don’t know if the existing ones can be salvaged, and yes, I buy stuff before I start so I don’t spend half the day running back and forth to town to get what I need.

I think part of his point was you can't have too many screws and they don't cost that much.  Buy longer ones and save the others to have when needed for other things.  I love having things like screws, bolts, wire ties, etc. on hand when I need them so I try to keep as many in different sizes as I can.

My concern was dealing with the holes made by the original screws.  I wanted to fill them in so that I wouldn’t deal with stripped out holes when installing the replacement steps.

    Wouldn't longer screws have worked?

Electronic shit is great until it’s not. I’ve never heard of a keyhole suddenly failing to respond to a command.

People that always have newer stuff never seem to give much thought about those types of things.  If I bought a new vehicle every two years, I guess I wouldn't either.  My last new four wheel one was 1993 so I do think about it.
