I have four Battery Tenders ranging from over 30 years old to a year old that get used from Nov to April. Never had a problem with any of them.
Zero, years ago I remember you saying that you didn't use them because you didn't like using "vampire" electronics or something like that. Have things changed?

then stuck it in the toaster oven at 350 to make sure it was dry all the way through.
Never thought about having a old one in the garage to use. Not sure it would get used enough to justify the space which is at a premium.

Years ago we had bought another car and was going to sell the old one. I didn't want to get crap about having a car parked on the street in my small town so I put an old dead plate on it (and a for sale sign) but didn't drive it. Guess who bought it? A cop, he said that he ran the dead plate and didn't seem to have any problems test driving it with the plate on it. I don't know if there is a difference with the car just sitting there as apposed to driving it?

How did you get no tax?

Thanks for posting here. It's great you stop by with good deals.

On a scale of PANIC versus ignoring it, this goes into, if you eat a lot, look for the organics, because why not.
I only eat 1/4 cup per day, the wife eats them also. Always buy the slow cook and after short look at Walmart.com, most organics are quick cook and cost a good bit more. But I will look around more.

There is no way you will get a better deal.

Great, the one thing I eat every morning is now bad for me. 😉
QuoteThe fact that so many people are exposed raises concerns about its potential impact on public health, since animal studies link chlormequat to reduced fertility, harm to the reproductive system and altered fetal growth.
So this doesn't seem like many here would worry about reproductive issues.
Also:
QuoteIn April 2023, in response to a 2019 application submitted by chlormequat manufacturer Taminco, the Biden EPA proposed allowing the first-ever use of chlormequat on barley, oat, triticale and wheat grown in the U.S. EWG opposes the plan.
So it's in more than just oats.

If I had room in my garage, I would be interested for a run around town bike. Here's the specs in case others are wondering.

There's also the satisfaction of restoring stuff and keeping the bike original.
Everyone has to do it their way but once chrome is pitted it never looks the same which is OK if that is what the goal is. The thing with cars now is the patina look which is sure a cheaper way to go.

I took a quick stab at mounting the front tire, fuck that, they're both going to a shop with a machine.
Strange. I didn't have much trouble at all when I did my CL-350 tires, though it was way easier than my real bikes.

I don't know about your R5 but new replacement parts like your brake lever were available for my CL and wasn't priced too high.

Changed perspective with telephoto. Which is better?
First one IMO.

This thing is definitely unusually squirrelly.
I'm guessing the knobby tires don't help on road?

I tried the zip tie thing using the heavy duty H.F. ones on a very stiff Gold Wing tire and I couldn't get it to work. Now that my son has a full size air power machine, I don't think I'll try it again. 😉

Doesn't Joe have a new fancy garage to do all things motorcycle related? No heat in there yet? Or maybe wanted the rubber warmer for ease of installation? Likes to cook while swapping rubber?

I wonder how glued the tires will be after 54 years, breaking the beads might be interesting.
If I had to take a shot in the dark, I'll guess it won't be too bad just because of what they are. Let us know.

You can fix that without a pill, as well.
+1 for the motorcycle, -1 for it not being a Blackbird. 😀

With all the pretty red on there you need to redo that side cover that says Honda.
