I got a terribly painful ache in my right leg.
+1 I can't ride more than 1 1/2 hours before it feels like someone is sticking a knife in my right knee.
-
Man, I love those trucks!
-
I heard that the clutch basket is a real weak point on Blackbirds....
:? Are sure you didn't mean a cowasuckie or something?
-
With the stock forks, shouldn't they hold the same amount on every bike? Instead of going through the hassel of measuring, why not just put in the 16.3 or whatever the book says?

Have you seen this? http://www.cbr1100xxforums.org/forum/viewt...pic.php?t=21905

How can you guys ride in 100F heat? Do you have gear on? I would die!

I went from the 208 to the Bridgestone 014. I like the 014 a LOT better.
-
The 208 will also have a significantly shorter lifespan than the 205 did.
North, you don't know what you are talking about. I got 2500 out of my 208 rear.

Who knows? It did sound a little like a commercial for AC Delco though.

I have an Erion exhaust system. On their web site they recommed NOT using a K & N filter. They said they got better preformance with a stock Honda filter. Good enough for me!
Well, I searched Erion's web site and couldn't find it, so I e-mailed this question today-"Do you recommend using a K&N air filter with your exhaust on a 97 Honda Blackbird?"
This was the response-"Yes, K&N would work fine on your bike."

it ended up being that there wasn't a PVC size that worked well,
Yea, me too. I got a nipple for the pvc (don't remember the size) that was just a little too big and ground it down until it fit right.
-
I would suggest using the foil-backed Dynomat.
Yea but what does it cost?
-
That's a good idea. What kind of matting is that and where did you get it?
-
Factory Pro makes a shift improver kit also.
Did it make a big difference?

I wouldn't want to be the one mounting the tires. Put a little too much force and  .
-
Didn't the book say something about putting goo on two of the bolt threads also?
-
so I try to shoot for every 5000 mi..
So Joe, does that mean if you changed your oil last week, you will have to change it next week?

Purolator Pure 1 part # PL 14612. Cheaper and better than a Honda filter
OK, I can see the cheaper part but how do you know that it is better? Not being smart, just want to know your source.
-
what does it do?
I have heard of everything from plugging things up to eatting up head gaskets. Who knows? I went with the Honda stuff in the bikes. Can't take a chance with my babies.

He recommends the Havoline Dex-Cool Extended Life coolant
I had that in both my bikes, the car and the truck. After reading so much bad stuff about it, I took it all out. The rad shop by me says that they have seen many problems with cars that have it in. I will never use it again.

I always trailer to the track. It makes the day so much more enjoyable. You got to have the cooler, food, ez up, chairs, etc....
