  1. Jealousy accomplishes nothing !! They only look great on a Honda ! nbl Hey, I'm not saying I wouldn't use them, but alas, they are ugly!
  2. was waiting for them to sell before I said "ewww, them are some ugly bags"
  3. Same here.... you can really feel it when the tire pressure drops on the bird... As for pressure, I run 38 front, 40 rear... for long slab runs I'll put the bitch all the way up to 44-45
  4. It will fit the bike fine... as to whether it fits your butt? If it was made for someone else you may have to have it modified to fit your caboose just right. You can generally get a good idea from a picture if it's close to the size of your ass in the saddle area.
  5. I have mine in the map pocket of my tank bag, next to the radar detector. Everything is wired inside the bag, so I just plug in the bag when I get on the bike.
  6. I was wondering because I've often heard that full systems require remapping while you can get away with not remapping with slip-ons. I imagine a PC and dyno work would yield better hp numbers, but I wonder how much? I got the polished aluminum can. With a full system I'd get a PC3 w/ at least a map for stock bike with that system. Slip ons you can run as stock, but a full system is a much bigger change to the engine's air flow.
  7. A cleaner method is to use, LPG or LP-gas from a small hand held torch, turn the torch gas on & fumigate it around the suspected areas if you notice an idle change, there is a leak Beat me to it.... geeesh, using wd-40 would make a mess lol! Neat freek girly mans you both are! Do you keep wet wipes next to bed on a doily for cum spots?? actually, I just don't have sex, it's too dirty...

  9. I managed to grab a Jaz fuel cell really cheap, 5 gallons, now I just have to make a bracket over the rear seat, don't really want it up on the top rack.
  10. This is the only forum I know where off the wall (or even "insane") questions get serious answers lol
  11. Thanks for the replies... I guess I'll shell out the money and get a proper aux tank made of "metal". I was just curious, because you could make fuel cells really cheap out of PVC, and if its in a case, who cares if it looks pro? But like I said, I decided to get a real tank, and I will rig up a system to mount it over the passenger seat for COG's sake. As for the why... I do a lot of LD riding and simply want to extend my range... I thought a stealth system would be "neat", but coyote-gear.com has some nice tanks for the money, so I will go that route. I just have to make some brackets to suspend it over the passenger seat now.
  12. I am in the thinking stage of making a new aux fuel system for the XX out of PVC, but before I start, are there any safety issues? Will gas make leaks where the glue melted the PVC together? Basically I want to put a few tubes inside my givi top case, kinda like a stealth fuel tank, use caps on the ends and a tee in the middle with a cap I can use to fill it. Just curious if anyone is aware w/ any flaws with this possible setup?
  13. I wonder how it sounds? Hope it sounds better than it looks...
  14. I've been lucky enough to not try an Electrosport, because I prefer to learn from other peoples' mistakes instead of making them for myself... From what I gather, the OEM carb'd R/R is better than the Electrosport one... Several people around here have gone that route and had it fail within a month or so, then ended up going with SOME OEM fitment in the end, anyway... BTW, apparently, the revised OEM unit for the carb'd 'birds now has fins and such on it, and is probably better because of it, though I have no first hand knowledge. Whatever R/R you get, get it from University Motors Fargo, and be sure to tell them you're a member here... The last R1 R/R I got from them was ~$60 (they were $48 a year and a half ago), and they sell the OEM Honda ones for... I think it was less than $100... Mike Fair enough, I haven't used the the electrosport R/R, but I have their stator and it's great, gobs of power compared to the stock unit, and seems very well built, so I assumed the stator was high quality as well. Right now I am using a replacement R/R I got from a local mc shop, no-name knock off... seems to do everything it should... I keep the Honda R/R in my tool bag in case I have a failure along my travels.
  15. Also, electrosport has an after-market R/R for the Bird... http://www.electrosport.com/products/product-detail-1832.php Looks likes it's out of stock ATM, but they should be getting more in
  16. I had the same problem with running a Qualifier up front and it cupped after about 1000 miles to the point of being useless. The qualifier stinks... I'll just go Roadsmart front and back
  17. Worth is in the eye of the beholder... ya can't put a price on COOL.... CB900f.....
  18. Thanks for the replies, I am going to give them a shot
  19. Well, up for yet another pair of tires on the XX, was contemplating Dunlop roadsmarts this time, anyone here gone through a set yet? Or should I just stick with my Metzeler M3 front, Z6 rear combo as usual?
  20. Damn, some of that stuff you could get cheaper from ronayers
  21. I have low and high HID 5000k.... riding these dark CO roads at night is awesome. Yeah, I'm one of those pricks who likes to rocket through the night, and the HIDs bring your visibility out so far it's incredible. IMO, the farther you can see, the sooner you can stop... I'll never have a bike without HIDs again.
  22. Justin

    Vapour Barrier

Just fill the entire thing with expanding foam and cover the hole on the outside.
  23. I'm just curious how they make these? Do they get the original molds from Honda or something?
